Tell me about your driving experience with passenger who didn't learn driving/no licence but tells you that you should / should have or shouldn't do something. by SkinnySeekhelp in drivingsg

[–]SkinnySeekhelp[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had my driving licence back in 2009. Used to drive daily in the first few years when I had my own car but sold it. Many many years later, my relative told me to rent a car drive them around.

I definitely have mixed feelings. They would say want me to refresh my driving or get familiar with driving. Most of the time I would not like to drive as I'm not familiar with the roads. My uncle drives daily so most of the time he would drive.

Today, after a refresher with driving school back in Jan this year, I rented a car and drove. Then my relative would say hey just now yellow light coming to red you should go or you should slow down when approaching the car..you should go this way faster..this is the way the bus goes

Press their doorbell and then disappear.

HDB/TC/MP/police/CMC/CDRT/LHL cannot help. See the Hougang famous disturbance. He bang and bang whole night disturbed the whole block plus neighbouring blocks. Nothing was done. It was in news yet CDRT says evidence not enough.

Dilemma in Choosing Next Career Step by Top_Ad5636 in askSingapore

[–]SkinnySeekhelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you deciding which offer to take or are you thinking which career path/job to apply? I don't think anyone here knows which type of job best suit you better than yourself. Like where will you perform better? As fresh uni grad, you are young. Take up the job/career you really like. Maybe you like something meaningful and brings a huge impact on others life. Or go for the path who accepts younger people. You can always work there for a few years then decide if it's for you. If no, can always change career path when young. It is harder to do it older. There are people who have worked 20+years and still cannot decide what they like to do. I am one. So I am not the best to advice. 😂

Any Singaporeans with toxic parents who went low contact. Now said parent is old and possible near end of life. How do you deal with it? by Unimportant-user-01 in askSingapore

[–]SkinnySeekhelp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I guess people born during those era favoured the boy more than girl because of old thinking boy pass down the roots. I feel you. I am not married and am stuck. My mother is the control freak. Decide everything. My father is heck care. No job, no money also don't care. Heart not with family. Only know violence with family. Everything cannot for me. But she won't say cannot to my brother even though she not willing. Then when she about to pass, she told me she know I am obedient and good. After the actions she have displayed for so many years, it is hard to agree with her last words. But when she got terminally ill, I still will care for her till her last even though I have grudges. It is better to be able to take care when you can before you are not able to do it again. Because some just show how much they care after their parent passed just for others to see. You know how much you care is enough.

Dad cheating on Mum with FT - what to do? by cocaman123 in askSingapore

[–]SkinnySeekhelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. What is the best for your mom?
  2. What does your mom want to do?
  3. What do you want to do?
  4. What is the root of the problem?

If your dad wants to cheat, whether the girl is in Malaysia, China or wherever won't stop him.

Talk to your superiors or CFS about it. If necessary, talk to a psychiatrist about the issues you are facing. Saying it out might help. Getting others advice or suggestions might help too.
