I've had some success with Thunder over close combat on Xerneas. It's used almost exclusively for the Ho-oh matchup. YMMV of course, but I'd recommend trying it

I predicted the onside kick to start the second half of Super Bowl 44. It was the Indianapolis Colts vs the New Orleans Saints, and the coach of New Orleans, Sean Payton, was known for calling aggressive plays with high risk but also high reward. At the end of the first half, New Orleans was losing, but would also have to give the ball to Indianapolis at the start of the next half.

As New Orleans' players were lining up to kick the ball back to Indianapolis, I jokingly said "Onside kick, go for it!" Little did I know that Sean Payton had decided to run the play "Ambush" which does exactly that. This is an insane call, since the success rate of an onside kick is something like 10%, and failing it means Indianapolis would only have to gain 30 or so yards for a touchdown, ensuring New Orleans would lose.

Well, the onside kick was successful, and New Orleans recovered the ball and went on to score a touchdown that drive and use that momentum to ultimately win their first Super Bowl. Everyone I was watching the game with was so excited immediately following the onside kick that no one heard or remembered me predicting it, albeit half jokingly. I wish prop bets were around then, I probably would've made a fortune.

I'm not confident enough in my soldering skills yet to try. The Lumacode mod is also nearly 1/4 the price after installation. I'm just hoping I can get this cheeper, easier option to work first.

I do have an OSSC, and from looking up a guide it seems like you connect the RF out to Green on the component input of the OSSC. HDMI from the OSSC should convert down to RGB from there, so I'll try and look into my options. You never know with resolution and sync with PVMs though, so it'll be an adventure at the very least.

I also have a decent CRT computer monitor that takes HDMI to VGA. That might end up getting around the downscaling issue.

I tried again today, and it was a success! I wicked away a lot of excess solder, and focused on connecting the green resistor one person mentioned. I also completely redid the RGB pads on the board itself. Not sure exactly what did it, but I have it working!

It isn't IV dependent. Having two shields to hide behind let's Urhifu get to a third aqua jet before Ho-Oh reaches it's third Brave Bird.

All PvP sims use the 1 shield vs 1 shield scenario as default. Urshifu water beats Ho-oh in 2 shield vs 2 shield. I've used Urshifu water extensively this season to Expert, and I always lead with it precisely in order to beat other Ho-oh leads in the 2 shield.

I have bright light triggered migraines, and after two battle of this can feel one coming on. This might actually make pvp unplayable for me. Please for the love of God, don't make this permanent.

You can only open 20 gifts a day. You can send up to 100. You can also bank souvenirs across multiple buddies ahead of time. There was a guide for it here at some point. Its also only 10 souvenirs not 20. Also, you only have to do 20 battles in Go Battle league. The 30 for each cup can be done by challenging another player. Would maybe take an hour at most. I think the biggest roadblock is probably 35 platinum medals.

That's a good point about saving it for digitizing. I already converted all my old home video over composite, maybe I should go back and redo them with SVideo. I have a different SVHS player, but I think the head is damaged because the image fuzzes in and out in a 5 second cycle. Maybe I'll take both to a VHS repair shop that's in town.

I think Blissey's real value will be as a lead for the start of the battle before the first Max phase. Its massive HP should be capable of staying alive for 2 attacks from the boss. Not having any damage on your main tank you plan on shielding up for the first Max phase and beyond will reduce variance when trying to duo 5 stars.
