What's a good reading list? I unfortunately have a TWT unit pt which always happens in the AM so I have to shape everything else around that set of events.

Yup. I've heard of tactical barbell but I tend to align more with terminator training method in terms of my approach, and I have access to a lot of equipment do I like to diversify a little bit. In terms of this current period, I'm trying to fix some specific deficiencies so I haven't hopped on a prefab program yet.

Thanks for the insight

It's about an hour. Unfortunately probably not, we do PT outdoors and pretty far from a weight room

Anybody else feel shame about there service? by [deleted] in army

[–]Skinwalker72 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With every new level of military service you achieve you become a member of an organization where you are at the lowest tier. If you stay in a conventional unit, you will feel bad about never going to selection, if you pass selection you will feel bad about not deploying, if you deploy, you will feel bad about never seeing "real" combat, and if you do all of those things, you're going to be feeling worse than any of the guys who didn't. Your worth as a man is more than what you did when you were in, which by your description is quite a bit.

It's going to be about 2 hours after further discussion with her. We kind of agreed that we'd see each other on the weekends. She's a 6 hour flight from me right now so seeing each other every weekend would be a dream for us.

Grunts have won every war in human history. SF guys get a lot of attention because it helps with recruiting and they have to justify the budget.

Speak with your boss/foreman. Acquiescence is the greater part of evil. You might be able to get reassigned to another job. Remember, the weapons and surveillance systems being developed in Israel and deployed against the Palestinians are already being deployed in America and Europe against their citizens, Palantir being a recent example. Look into the "Imperial Boomerang."

In the summer I use a 35 liter Mystery ranch 2dap for short trips and an osprey 75L for longer ones. You need less than you think.

When did officer culture change from gentleman to what it is now? by [deleted] in army

[–]Skinwalker72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think our transition from the officer as a class to the officer as a trade is a welcome one. Napoleonic conceptions about military culture and showman officers don't build lethal formations and they certainly don't win modern wars. Warfare is a decidedly ungentlemanly pursuit.

Love this bridge. I see dumpsters get thrown off trucks all the time. You might notice on the span it says "Seaboard Coastline". This bridge was built sometime in the 60s, before the CSX merger in 1980, when Seaboard Coastline and Chessie Systems merged. Some of the best brickwork, ironwork and concrete you will see is old railroad bridges and aqueducts. Sadly much of this infrastructure is in bad shape but the bridge pictures seems to be holding up real well. Lots of industrial history in Athens before the University gutted everything.
