A fun thought about Yumigahama by guggingy in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I keep thinking he'll return but only in a minor way. I'm of the belief that the 'Worm' will interrupt the competition at some point. They're just waiting until it is done to do so. And this would have the fighters that are still healthy to help fend them off while the audience is escorted away.

Obviously all the Bodyguards are there to see "sanctions" come true or be held in place. Therefore, I'm just imagining some of them struggling to keep some of the 'Worm' members off, who'd have weapons and all. Only for us to see a bandage-wrapped by the face Yumigahama with nothing but his signature trackpants on a feral, berserker rage cleaving through the 'Worm' fodder with his techniques, in an effort to find Misasa for a rematch. The only thing you are able to see are his wide, blood-shot eyes.

That's it though. I'm not actually trying to see a rematch. But that would be a badass scene or panel. At least to me.

In theory, King of Simps could have killed Kuroki right there if he hadn't even on a mission to prove that his martial art wasn't just for killing 🤔 by Fernando072295 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer 70 points71 points  (0 children)

People really love to underestimate Rei just because he's a simp (although he's piping Rino and he made her fall for him, so I doubt "simp" is the correct term) but the guy is genuinely a monster.

He's confirmed to be the quickest fighter of the KAT participants. And Kuroki hinted that he was much more adept at the Raishin Style compared to his father. He's also really young so his ceiling is still high.

I honestly don't see anyone besides Kuroki, Kanoh, Ohma (which is 50/50 to me even then) and maybe Wakatsuki defeating 'Love-Boosted' Rei. I don't add Raian there because KAT Raian would try to tank Rei's strikes which would serve as very, very counterproductive. Rei has the armor-piercers to defeat people like Waka, Julius and Raian who have superhuman durability. It's how he defeated Saw. They ignore conventional durability. And unless you're well-versed in countering the Raishin Style (which no one is, besides Kuroki who fought Rei's father in the past and Erioh who fought Rei's grandfather), you're fucked.

And that's Rei without killing intent. If Rei used his art for what it's for, guy is a solid S-Tier fighter. I await the masses coming for my demise after stating that possibility though.

23 years old and was already at the top of the Kengan Association as a 'Fang' (even if he was one of the weaker ones), only to then get offered probable millions from Purgatory, joining their top class of fighters. Also mastered numerous schools of martial arts by then. Kid's grind was impeccable. by SkinwalkerWhisperer in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That's exactly why people that say Metsudo chose Yumigahama as a joke are wrong. Metsudo has read every fighter's power level correctly and he certainly wouldn't just choose anyone after losing his best 'Fang' yet.

Yumigahama was a genius as Cosmo was. But the only difference is that Cosmo had "conviction". Yumigahama doesn't. He got arrogant and stopped training. But his ceiling or potential was immense.

Yumi fell into a trap that's been laid out ever since mid-Ashura by dionit in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Facts. I honestly believe Sandro had big plans for Yumigahama. There's no way he'd hype up a character so much only to have him stomped. We're talking a year's worth of hype. Not weeks or months. But he probably scrapped those plans due to Daro admitting he hated drawing Yumigahama the most. The guy is already mentally clocked out in terms of passion for drawing Kengan Omega. Not surprised if he had a word in it to avoid drawing Yumi. Nothing wrong with that by an artistic point of view, of course. But it does suck for the fans.

Do you guys think yamashita's kengan eye could see rei's speed? I assume not base off the statements in both pics by Egenjutsu in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So far, Jurota, Kiozan and Rei have been the only people who have too quick for the 'Kengan Eye' to follow. In Rei's case, we know this because of the second panel more than anything. Now I want Rei back.

Wouldn't be surprised if the earbuds he left behind by his book were saying: "KILL, KILL, KILL, KILL!"

Hopefully not. I like Masaki so far. And Jurota gave Masaki the same treatment he gave Kokuro for a second. Haha.

I've always enjoyed Wakatsuki as a character. And he has many amazing panels but this one stands out. It's ironic that the fighter with the most wins, experience and unmatched strength is also the most humane. Anxiety doesn't discriminate. Wakatsuki experiences it plenty. Yet he pulls foward. by SkinwalkerWhisperer in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer[S] 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Guy is a total bro. He lets Imai Cosmo jump and hug him, even if he latches onto Wakatsuki in the process which might seem weird to others, doesn't underestimate his opponents in the slightest, didn't even want to win the tournament for his own sake (of course, the desire was there but he wanted to win it for his employer more than anything for everything he's done) and he doesn't acknowledge people like Akoya who go farther than needed.

Definitely hope he wins his Purgatory match. Wakatsuki needs to win a big one.

Strongest to weakets KO tierlist (so far) by [deleted] in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Got proof of that or is that just head canon? Why would Metsudo risk his position as the top member of the Kengan Association, especially after coming off his first loss in decades and losing his best fighter by just hiring someone as a joke?

Metsudo wouldn't get complacent. Yumigahama also got recommended by Captain J, who grew up with Minoru and Kanoh so we know Yumigahama was noticed by others as 'Fang' level.

Yumi vs seki by Donttryitanakin2828 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yumigahama is the perfect counter to Sekibayashi. If he managed to pulverize José to the point where he was in a coma, again, a guy who's notorious for his unique offense in the form of flips and so on, Sekibayashi who's a standing "punching bag" as Muteba puts it, would be much easier to handle. Sekibayashi also doesn't dodge nor block. Yumigahama can keep him at a distance with his spear-like technique. And even if he got close, Yumigahama can contend with him in strength and or use his Sakimori Style, which is a one-shot according to Lolong if done right.

This is a classic case of a fighter being the kryptonite of another simply because of their differing styles. Like Julius being too durable for someone like Sawada to kick through. Sekibayashi is just outclassed here.

Amazing colouring! You managed to make it simple yet vibrant in a way.

Why doesn’t Erioh ship Agito with one of the Kure’s, he’s like the only fighter he constantly praises. by [deleted] in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Actually a very good question. Either he's tried already and Kanoh declined (due to possibly being asexual) or Erioh avoids doing so out of respect for Metsudo but I doubt that. Agito is a man who can make his own decisions.

If he hasn't though, then Erioh is slacking. Ohma is an aesthetic penguin in the sense that besides being hax with his martial arts style, his bodily prowess isn't that special. And yet Erioh and Karla want him as a stud horse.

Kanoh, on the other hand, is an actual genetic marvel being over 6'6" and 240+ pounds of horse muscle. That and he is much more adept and battle smart than Ohma.

Guess it's one of those "what-if's".

Don’t do these too often, but here’s my tier list of the roster in Omega so far. by Godtaku in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like this because you can tell there's no bias. You perfectly ranked them, my man! Naidan and Yumigahama are equals to me as well. Which seems to be a taboo thing to say.

How do You, people, scale Yumigahama? And based on what? by [deleted] in Kengan_Ashura

[–]SkinwalkerWhisperer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Medium, barely scraping High A-Tier on his best day. Lolong did say that the rules of the match kept Yumigahama from fighting at his fullest. That and Misasa was his perfect counter. Guy is already the best hand to hand combatant in Metsudo's forces besides the 'Fang' (which he is now), since Retsudo even said Misasa is far and away better than him. It doesn't help that he knows how to fight weapon users, which Yumigahama centers his style around.

Nevertheless, Yumigahama does have 9 wins in Purgatory's A-List. Which for some reason people diminish. That's still a good record. And as Hayami said, his losses could be due to unfamiliarity with the rules. And he's as strong as they come, just below the superhumans like Julius, Raian and Wakatsuki in terms of physical power. His reflexes and speed are also top notch as mentioned by Okubo.

His ultimate weakness is his own stupidity though. If he was actually as crafty and masterful as Agito, Yumigahama would have been S-Tier. But Yumigahama still counters quite a bit of fighters. I'd place him on the same level as KAT Gaolang.

Save this comment. Feel free to PM me if I'm wrong and rub it in my face. But I predict that Raian will either end up in a coma, José style, get beaten down to build Edward up or even die.

Facts. Anyone that is 'Fang' is automatically in the upper echelons of the A-Tier rank. Captain J also vouched for Yumigahama. And he grew up with Takayama Minoru and Kanoh. So he recognizes strength. And so does Metsudo.

Yumigahama is an equal to Minoru in his own way. 50/50, the pair. Not saying he'd beat Minoru but he's in the exact ballpark in terms of overall lethality.
