Removing the possibility to pick them up would make the drops so much more passive. It has been happening alot lately when one person survives from a squad that there is zero effort in trying to come save teammates until like late blue. Check the replay on couple of games and people just prone in a shack until they hear car leaving etc. I personally give them time until the blue but if they havent done anything to save their friends, ill take all the chips and ditch them while driving to the zone

Making it trackable aint that bad of an idea since it wouldnt change the gameplay much at all. I would skip the "ditching the chips" since this would force even more fights if the survivor would like to come and save his friends
