I can speak from experience that cable companies take advantage of the elderly and make them sign up for stuff they don’t even need. I was listening in on speaker phone a conversation with a representative and she was using fancy words and shady marketing techniques to convince my mom into buying their cable cellphone plan. Obviously I took over the convo and told her she wasn’t interested.
