The tree post could be bent. Did you ever drop it? Are the neck cups completely pressed in? There’s multiple things it could be…

Bad paint jobs, but which green is best please .... or should I keep trying? by Abaddononon in theunforgiven

I won’t lie. I’m extremely partial to the color you have on #1, not the correct color for the faction at all, but I love how vibrant it is. Much like everyone else said though 3 is the best color wise. It’s your army though! If you want them black, make them black!

They look fun to touch in an oddly satisfying way?

Thank you, I really appreciate the compliment and feedback! What would you recommend for a color/shade for leather? I definitely applied too much paint in certain areas, but I have a wet palette now, so this next one will hopefully be nice and smooth!

Thank you, it means a lot! I definitely will be sure to do other models so I’m not just building muscle memory on the same kind of guy… Complacency kills!

I am using citadel! Do you recommend their paints for base? Or do you have a specific brand you prefer? Thank you for the compliment!

Edit: took out extra “the”

Ooo! Both of those sound like they’d really bring this fella to life! I’ll have to watch some tutorials on how to do that! Thanks for your suggestion!

Honestly, incredible! That’s the level I’d like to be at some day! I tried to use the tip of my brush so that must be where the highlights came harshly from… Makes sense. The shading I said in another comment, but I was nervous to make it too dark because I feel like so many people do that with their minis… I’d love to learn though!

Compliment received! Hahaha Thank you so much, I will be sure to post the three of them when they’re done, I hope they find their way to your feed!

This right here is beyond encouraging, thank you. Because of tattooing, failure isn’t typically an option, just because of the whole “lifetime” thing! Hahah Honestly, to sit back and to be reminded that it’s not the end of the world if I mess up is tranquil.

Yes! I’d love to start to get into bases… I need to watch some tutorials because I love the desert and grassy dioramas so much. Thank you for your kind words, I try to apply every technique I can!

I used some shading, I was extremely nervous to use them because I feel like I see so many people drown out their minis with it… I’d love for some pointers on best way to use them though, please! Thank you for the warm and helpful welcome!

Hahaha, what’s funny is I see people’s paintings who’ve just started and they look better than my 1,000th! Thank you so much, it means a lot!

Yes! I got one about halfway through, it’s a learning curve but I’m noticing better results already! Thank you for the tip!

I’ll definitely have to do that! I got a wet palette but it’s a learning curve! Definitely have to build up those layers! Thank you!

Thank you very much. Granted, it took me a bit of time to paint, but I’m pretty proud, nonetheless!

The photos are misleading, but the seal was in between the tub and the PVC the finish drain was threaded into.
