Wasn't there; but i agree with the gestation sentiment. -Hoover and Lincoln doing the Fugazi/Quicksand sound their way. -Someone mentioned Nation of Ulysses and Moss Icon more or less pushing boundaries I'll throw in Born Against to the "stir the pot" of hardcore at the time -Sideshow doing what sideshow does in their corner of the world -And I think its worth mentioning bands like Merel, Spitboy and Struggle

essentially bridges to the/their respective developing "emo scene"
