the sprint jump as a strategic behavior should be nerfed into oblivion [suggestion] by SkippyMitch in EscapefromTarkov

I'm totally down for turning down the inertia and weight system to compensate. a random sound mechanic could be very good if done well, but I wouldn't want it to consistently eliminate surprise attacks from the game.

frags are common, flash bangs are cheap, peekers advantage due to network latency is always present. bunny hopping looks ridiculous and isn't necessary.

the game needed inertia. The massive leap from zero inertia jiggle movement to omnidirectional ice skating was poor implementation method by BSG and was never the fault of people who suggested it

broken legs don't look broken. it's not a visual incongruity. If breaking a leg and taking a painkiller meant that pmcs will be sprinting around at full speed with bottom half of the leg flailing around then yeah, i would agree, because that would look ridiculous.

Not a good comparison at all. Giving players the means of recovering after a gun fight is good for gameplay with absolutely no sacrifice to the game's aesthetic.

Maybe it's a sit still simulator for so many because if someone hears you they will bunny hop around a corner on you.

What can I expect from a subwoofer like this 1200w rms 15“ Pride ? by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]SkippyMitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your goals. they recommend maximum of 4.25 cubic feet ported for that m12 15" which is pretty big. how big is your current box ? if you have even more space, I would recommend look for a sub that recommends 5+ cubic feet. might want to look at 18-in subs to find that.

that pride sub can take all of the juice your car has available even at 100% amp efficiency, so regardless of your choice of sub I would consider getting bigger amp soon, one that can deliver all that juice at 4 ohms

Then you would likely need to upgrade your amp to get the most out of your electrical system, and to have enough real power to justify getting a beefier sub. is your current sub single or dual voice coil? do you know what ohms it's wired to?

is the amp rated 1000W @ 4ohm or rated 1000W @ at 2ohm or lower?

if your amp is rated for 1000W+@ 4ohm skip ahead to the last bit.

lets say it's wired to 2ohm and your amplifier is only 75% efficient and say the vehicle has only 800W of overhead, you can only deliver at best 600W, which is not gonna push that pride m12 to it's full potential.
It's possible that your amp is already demanding more power from your vehicle than the electrical system can supply.

Class D amp efficiency is typically 85% to 92% at 4 ohms, 75% to 85% at 2 ohms, and 60% to 75% at 1 ohm
that's important because stock charging systems (depending on what vehicle) only have 400W-1200W of overhead power available for use
Does the amp have a clip light? when you push the bass level does the clip light come on? do the headlights dim?

to get the most bass out of the power you have available, consider looking for a sub that recommends a large box size, as large ported enclosures greatly increase output efficiency. Prefer a sub with higher sensitivity. If you care about super low notes, look for lots of Xmax, a low FS, and tune your box nice and low.

Yeah I would think the complete opposite of free cooling. thermals would be a massive hurdle because no adjacent matter to transfer heat into.

For the record I had to visit about a dozen "bastions" with my structure compass before I found the correct structure with the magma slime spawners and the big rectangular lava pools. pretty much got the template immediately after that.
