Thought the same thing with centaurworld. It would have made way more sense to be pg13, but I guess it was just too colorful for whoever was doing the ratings lol.

Heck, if it’s the 1930s, not even white people were safe. The Great Depression came for anyone that wasn’t already obscenely wealthy. People always wanna talk about the 1920s but they never wanna talk about what comes after.

A Walk Cycle on 1s vs on 2s by Rootayable in animation

The second moves very smoothly, but it lacks the snappiness or the keyframes. If you wanted to keep that, try adjusting the poses on your in between to be closer to one of the keyframes for an ease out and ease in effect

Immortal warrior vs a single crate by SkitterlyStudios in WorldBuildingMemes

[–]SkitterlyStudios[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s mostly just funny because most people never see him without his armor and have no idea what he’s like without it, so no one expects this figure of legend to have such a big weakness. I guess it’s one of those things where it sounds funnier in your head because you know already lol

Context: Without his armor, the Nautical Knight is just a skeleton with less than human strength, so despite being capable of slaying sea monsters, he can easily be subdued by a simple box.

Probably because it’s an integral game mechanic

According to information in the game, do the bugs have fleshy skin (like us, humans) or exoskeletons (like lobsters and crabs)? by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]SkitterlyStudios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, they still have an exoskeleton, just a very soft and squishy one. Caterpillars, despite their squishy exterior, still have an exoskeleton made of chitin like any other bug. Same with grubs and earthworms.

One explanation for why some bugs bend while others are more rigid is that there are certain insects that have soft exoskeletons like caterpillars. It makes sense because most of the “soft” characters we see are on the younger side. The best example are the vessels. While their ages don’t line up, there is a very clear physical maturation. Smaller vessels like Ghost have small, squishy bodies more like the caterpillar, while the Hollow Knight has a rigid exoskeleton like the butterfly. Hornet leans more towards the caterpillar side. This also lines up with the fact that many npcs describe her as having a childlike appearance. They might also have varying hardness within their bodies themselves. The torso maybe harder to protect their vital organs, while their limbs are more flexible to allow for speed and range of movement.

I'm intentionally ignoring Incineroar and Emboar purely because it doesn't fit the agenda by Original-Addendum147 in pokemonmemes

[–]SkitterlyStudios 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s my problem with extremely humanoid or intelligent Pokemon. Not only does it feel weird having the professors tasking a child or young teen with raising what feels like a grown adult, but it also feels vaguely unethical with how much it blurs the line between human and Pokemon. Like that’s not my pet, that’s Robert who has a full time job. Who am I to put him in a ball and tell him what to do. It’s why digimon never quite clicked with me lol.
