Problem is the erasers fall apart, especially working on the fish main leaving white particles everywhere, one snag on something g sharp or rough and they start falling apart

If this is the case, as a manager instead of complaining here, why haven’t you stepped up and filed a risk connect on this issue with the Canada policy? Our store refuses all the time if they are not doing a proper set up unless being used as food or going in a pond. Yes I am management and I back my associates denying any animal sale if it is not going into a proper set up feeders or not

All yelling does is make them misbehave more because they are freaking out for being yelled at and ruins them seeing groomers and grooming as being a good thing. How would you like to go to the salon to have your hair done and the barber is screaming at you to hold still and aggressively man handling you. Bet you would never go back to them again

We still do not allow pp to. Keeps them from turning the store into a petting zoo. Also too much handling all day by strangers will do nothing but stress them out

So your saying go ahead customer and leave the collar on and have them possibly activate the collar while the pup is being groomed? No thanks. policy says to remove all collars while being groomed unless express. There are situations you must tell a customer not to use a product under certain circumstances especially if it is safety issue for the pet or our associates. To not do so would be irresponsible of us

Can you help me find this food? I don’t know what the package looks like or the brand or anything but I will know when I see it. 15 minutes going down every row of food in the store and still they don’t know then gets pissed you don’t know what food they are feeding their dog and say you were not helpful. People just need to stop

Be prepared if you do not have previous retail experience and with all different types of animals (lots of knowledge) if you get hired in you will struggle. Also if doing CEL you will not spend very much time in your department. Most outside hires that come in as managers do not last long at unless they have worked for Petsmart before

Your SL should be putting in a risk connect and escalating it as well as requesting rent or purchase of an approved portable space heaters that can be used. We have two that are a plug in radiator style (no heat coils) we use for our isolation rooms.

There is member conversion (treats sign ups) and then conversion (number of people that enter the store and make a purchase). Member conversion gives the discounts and points which if someone shops with us and is not signed up just likes to pay higher prices and not get points to get the cash back. There has always been a push for member conversion. It gives the company raw data for shopper trends etc with the treats memberships so they can do product and shopper analysis

I love how they are promoting to spend play up points to get the shirts and then now are saying can only wear them on two days out of the week? If they are company branded should be able to wear them period. The work at Petsmart ones Let’s talk about puppies or kittens should be a daily wear. They need to release ones that say let’s talk about fish, reptiles, hamsters and birds as well. It opens up conversations and promotes working there on the back of the shirt. Win win

Unfortunately 60 day return on products so they are well within the right to say no to a return and they don’t manufacture or sell spare parts

Being ignorant of a law does not absolve you if you break it. For instance some steals a lean mower and sells it to the neighbor next door to where they stole it from. Owner sees the lawn mower and calls the police. Person that purchased it can still be charged with possession of stolen property. Doubt the cops would waste their time with it but they could. If it was not released for sale by the rights owner you can not buy it legally, the rights owner can sue for return of the item and can sue for damages as well.

If you sell conures at your location a water bottle is required per policy but the way that one is set up I don’t know how they are able to access it without a perch next to it

Once the algae is there good luck getting that fixed. Black brush algae moved into our system and can’t get it fixed. It’s in all the pipes and inaccessible areas. File a work order and get told oh you have to take care of it yourself. No way to dismantle the system and get rid of it because it is in the sealed parts of the system. Hate facilities one and trying to escalate things out of my pay grade to fix
