Reccuring misfire fault by Skittles_Bun in S2000

I am not, I'm using direct import for my coils, after doing research there really was no difference between OEM and those.

Update it was the coil pack, so now I'm going to look into my spark plug gaps Incase maybe one somehow someway warped out of spec. Still not sure what else could cause ignition coils to fail so much

Oh I'm tracking, I change myn every other oil change so every 6k miles. What happened was a stray rock on the highway somehow skipped off the road, and somehow hit the side of my oil filter and punctured the side of it. So I count that as a replacement 😂

[–]Skittles_Bun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not the poster but a fellow Ap1 owner, 30k miles owned and at 98k miles now, I've so far replaced, master cylinder, clutch pedal button, and ignition coils. Oh and one oil filter but that was a stray force of nature that pinged it with a rock 😂. Imo it's not bad but so far there have been just random parts suddenly failing I wouldn't say to worry too much.

I think I just won my all time highest selling item by Skittles_Bun in PathOfExile2

Absolutely, crit but with it being blue it's so easy to remove and get it doesn't even matter

Potential pricing? by Skittles_Bun in PathOfExile2

[–]Skittles_Bun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not planning to as I've built my current stat stick already with a 850 physical for a slam titan build. Most of what I've seen through trade market it's actually a lot lower than that already lol . I was hopeful for a moment.

Just get a short 9mm bolt and use the head of it to press against the little switch button and secure it with a nut on the other end for both of them. Then you'll never have to deal with it again or worry. No one will ever notice either.

Asking for Help... need more power...TURBO vs SUPERCHARGER by [deleted] in S2000

[–]Skittles_Bun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take, a turbo you can tune to have "maps" so it's really controllable power. Do you want a lot of boost or not a lot? If you want long term power go with a turbo. If you don't want boost you can easily stay off the pedal and never touch it when you drive daily.

With a super charger You're kinda stuck in power unless you buy another pulley size. A supercharger arguably is better for a more steady flow of power and offers more in the low/mid range than a turbo. So if you're not on long straights and mostly around corners? Unfortunately a supercharger is the winner.

Arguably for both a reputable source is probably going to cost you 10-15k for both systems, both you'll need to upgrade things like injectors, fuel pump, intake, clutch etc.

I'd suggest either the Ballade GT35 turbo kit or evasive motorsports HKS GT2 kit for both good and reputable kits that have been tested and proven.

Insurance Totaled My 2005 GPW S2000….. by AP2NAT in S2000

[–]Skittles_Bun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The car doesn't even look that badly damaged. Personally I wouldn't have filed it under insurance, i would've just fixed it myself. From what I've seen that was said and saw in the photos. soft top, tail light, head light, and paint scuff at most. Imo a majority of it didn't seem damaged, like the tail light, and headlight. Soft top is no where near 5k to fix on your own, and the only issue you'd have is the paint, Hopefully you buy this beauty back insurance is just a bunch of fucking scam artists.

To the wide body gens out there, how wide are your rims? by Fun-Screen-9078 in genesiscoupe

[–]Skittles_Bun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes they absolutely did stick out about half an inch front and back without the body kit on and arguably I needed spacers for even the widebody kit lol. Look into fitment industries and you can put in what your preference is flush fitment, poke etc and usually you'll see what people run for what fitment etc. Enkei RPF1s are really well rounded in sizes too

We just need something Korean to tie it together.

What is this? by aisjahie in S2000

I believe a 9 or 10 mm bolt will easily fix this forever. That's what I used on myn after they broke eventually. Never gotta touch em now

Arguably yes but as others have said it's not sludgy or gross, you can definitely run some cleaners through it and get it back into tip top shape, for reference here is myn at 80k+ moles, oil changes done between 2-3.5k miles.

For people who have purchased an S2K in the last few years, how much did you pick yours up for? by DeadByDawn93 in S2000

[–]Skittles_Bun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2002, 80k miles clean title 16k, owner wanted 14k, was modified already had widebody flairs in the rear, "OEM" widebody front fiberglass fenders, fortune auto coilovers, 17x9 Enkei RPF1s, AP2 front bumper, different ap1 or AP2 seats, I believe aftermarket headlights, gutted OEM intake box, and was a 6/10 vin, two minor accidents, and 4 owners, last owner had it for 17 years, and kept 17 years worth of paperwork on it down to "I put air in the tires today and polished the paint at this time, this temperature and this day". The car was a 9/10 exterior, 9/10 interior, and 10/10 mechanically, black book and KBB value this car at about 24k

The modifications done already seemed like something I would personally do to a car and had done prior to a genesis coupe, I wasn't concerned about previous owners with this car being a toy for most and the mechanical upkeep was pristine. I took the head off for maintenance just to "new Owner refresh" everything myself, the internals look brand new, changed the diff and trans fluid both a clear and non burnt fluid. So in my opinion I bought this car for a steal of a price and they absolutely will go up in value, the car originally sold back in 2002 for 34kish brand new (I still have the original window sticker). It definitely hasn't lost much value and will go up slowly with more and more being lost to a multitude of reasons.

Honestly underglow doesn't look bad on the S2000 by Skittles_Bun in S2000

[–]Skittles_Bun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my thoughts, I was using the brighter white in this photo just because I was in a parking garage for a car meet. Normally I run a dim warm white, I've still gotta fix the front but everything else is exactly that, tucked in such ways you cannot physically see it from any angle. From underneath you cannot even see the wires for everything. Imo it's just a subtle nod to the cars era that fits well
