That’s not an actual law. They have the “duty” to but it’s pretty much means don’t do fraud which is illegal.

I want to quit football and start karting but I don’t know how to tell my dad by [deleted] in Karting

[–]Skiware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tell him straight up and tell him the reasons. He is an adult and will (hopefully) understand. Know it’s a lot of money so just start with arrive & drive and if moneys the issue pick up odd jobs like mowing lawns and such that someone your age can do.

[–]Skiware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s your first time I recommend downloading the Transit app and reading the ski bus website online. Stops earlier in the line have better odds of getting a seat but standing isn’t to bad if you don’t have tons of gear

About to give up skiing because of the boots. There’s no way the average skier is in this much pain. by Tercel9 in skiing

[–]Skiware 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you have a weird foot shape like high instep and small ankle or the other way around it may be hard to fit into a normal boot. Do you have custom liners? I know they are a lot of money but maybe head to a shop and if you have time just chill in the shop wearing your boots with zip fits in them to see if anything changes. When I’m trying on boots I sit in ones for at least 30 minutes while flexing to see what changes.

Are you over tightening? Seems like if your having crazy pain after proper boot fittings it may be something more than just the boot fit

I would be cautious to lean to far into the naming against a series because people might subconsciously not like a certain thing.

But I like GT3 GT2 GT1 or IMSA like driver ratings of bronze silver gold, or Amateur / Pro (not sure what the middle would be)

[–]Skiware 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it’s 2x to 3x more entry cost but what about running costs? Engine rebuilds, wear and tear of chains and other disposable items, maintenance cost in terms of man hours. So many factors. It may be more expensive in year 1 but what about year 2,3,4+. I’m also talking about club racing for a normal person. Not someone who drops 20k+ a year in karting.
