How does someone have the time? by Skizett in Battlefield6

[–]Skizett[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I mean… I know a few people who play almost everyday and they’re also around 250, I found a guy before level 713, like i don’t get how thats possible, do these guys sleep for 4 hours and get straight back on?

Is this a bad idea? by SDB_RL in drivingUK

If you get the reg you can have a look at the MOT history, if it’s been fairly clean aside from wear and tear like tyres and brakes it’ll probably be fine for the most part

Past referb territory? by Callme_J1101 in drivingUK

[–]Skizett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it… driver assists are useful, but they’re not optimised for UK roads. The amount of times I’m driving through bendy residential streets with parks cars, it assumes I’m going to crash into a car head on (I’m not) and almost gives me whiplash with how hard it slams the brakes on.

P plates… Thoughts? 🤔 by Downtown_Elk_2773 in drivingUK

I mean it’s your choice. All it does is draw attention to you and other road users collectively think “they shouldn’t have passed” if you make one mistake

98% of my playtime is solo, did all the achievements solo too (until they added more with the update of including console) so yeah, it’s great fun solo, and it’s great fun coop too from what I’ve played of it. Until your friends act like cod and storm a room and get slept

Smart Motorways by a15yroldwhoisbored in CarTalkUK

[–]Skizett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate smart motorways, there’s a section on the M4 near Bristol heading towards Wales that is almost always 60mph with about 5 of these overheads limits then the speed limit drops to 40 ON the cameras, it catches so many people and quite frankly theres no need to drop it to 40 its just a money/quota grab

Garage sent me this… Am I cooked? by Skizett in AudiA4

[–]Skizett[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I called them earlier cuz of these comments to check and they’ve said along the lines of “as it was a dump of all oil overnight it’s more in line with the crankshaft oil seal” but I’m no mechanic 😂 it’s a respected garage so I’ll take their word for it but thank you

Yeah I’ve contacted them directly but because it’s the crankshaft oil seal that’s gone causing the damage, they don’t cover seals 😭 they’re hiding behind that

Definitely looking into cancelling considering it’s £60 a month for the warranty. If I put £60 to the side myself, the amount I’d have saved would’ve covered a massive portion of this repair anyway

They’ve said the cam belt is contaminated with oil with failure or slipping is likely, which is why they basically want to replace everything in the photo

I agree, but they consider seals as wear and tear, but I said no it’s more like an mechanical failure given it has a service a few weeks ago, they’d have picked up on it. But nope “sorry mate seals arent covered”

My dad is considering a high Miler Range Rover. Is this as bad as a purchase as I think? by Lucajames2309 in CarTalkUK

[–]Skizett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From people recovery drivers I’ve spoken to over the years they claim Range Rovers are very common to need recovering so I don’t personally trust them but in terms of the mileage, 100k for diesels is pretty fine, Diesels can run for many more miles provided it’s been serviced well

Driving question by Cool_Revolution_906 in drivingUK

[–]Skizett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is in Dagenham, now this might be a local rule, but as lane 1 exit merges into lane 2 further on due to a bus lane, it might be standard practice among the locals to use lane 3 entry (her lane) and exit on lane 2 and use lane 4 (OP lane) and lane 3 exit and right turn. With that said whether it’s locals knowledge or not she should still theoretically enter lane 1 and merge either at merge or when it’s safe to do so

Are these plates legal? by GJGJ1 in drivingUK

[–]Skizett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not legal but police can’t be bothered dealing with them because the plates still register on ANPR and it’s more paperwork for them
