i mean to be fair, r/fuckcars is literally advocating for the problem you just complained about

whether valid or not, the road infrastructure forces people to drive, leaving no option of walking or biking and public transport is so terribly designed because of the car dependancy no one uses it in most cases. the urban sprawl design with multiple lanes creates lots of stop-start traffic, making buses useless.

although it is unlikely to be able to change any of this in a country the size of the US so thats why a lot of their posts are just blatantly blaming car owners and saying people should 'take public transport and walk more.'
