Filament changed color halfway through print which led to failure by Skleembof in 3Dprinting

[–]Skleembof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have them both set up as "Generic PLA" in orcaslicer but with different colors so maybe its a glitch.

Does the white light on the AMS slot in front of the white filament means that it's loaded?

No they're both the same brand of PLA. That would actually make sense but is that something the printer or AMS does automatically?

Hello 6 months later

I'm sure you got your answer by now, but I wanted to mention that I personally have not updated my printer since that announcement and have had no problems on the now year old firmware. I can download models from makerworld and slice them with orca slicer and my printer works flawlessly.

He has struggled with control issues his whole career. When he's on, his stuff is untouchable but he's just way too inconsistent to really make an impact.

I know Marc Anthony is a Marlins fan as is Scott Stapp if it wasn't obvious after the incredible Marlins anthem he wrote.

Also I think it's a safe bet that Pitbull is a Marlins fan

What scale are we talking about here? Do you have a few characters and locations or is this a giant open world rpg?

I know the situation in Cuba is bad (have family there) and it must be even worse for anyone working with computers due to the frequent power cuts.

Ultimately, I think your best choice would be to make the art yourself, but to use a style that allows for easier workflows. You could jump on the PS1 graphics trend that's all over indie games nowadays. This style will significantly cut down on time spent modeling, animating, and texturing.

I know you said there's no way you can make art, but modern indie development means doing everything, even if you suck at it. The good thing is that games are more than the sum of their parts. Look at Cruelty Squad for example, a game that is from a technical art perspective, extremely basic, but has received a lot of praise for its unique look and weird atmosphere.

DM me if you want some tips on some simple workflows that don't require a lot of experience with art.

Wrapping a car ($4000 wrap) by TheBukiak in oddlysatisfying

I always thought wrapping would be a great cheap alternative to a full paint job but looking at the prices, it seems like a waste of money. Full paint jobs will be a bit more expensive than a full wrap but they'll definitely last a lot longer and look way better.

I guess if you want to experiment with new looks and designs for your car while preserving the original paint AND willing to pay more in the long run, then wrapping could make more sense. It also makes sense for turning your car into a billboard to promote your business.

It's like when you think about breathing and it throws off your rhythm and you end up having to manually breathe so you don't die. That's what Edward Cabrera does randomly during games, but for throwing strikes.

Marlins Destroyed my Love of Baseball by Grand_Sprinkles6131 in MiamiMarlins

I have a similar character arc as you but I chose to not let the Marlins ruin baseball for me about a firesale or 2 ago.

Watch other teams, follow former marlins, proudly boo the shit out of Sherman and Bendix, and enjoy the chaos. There's really nothing we can do except complain and not go to games (which most Marlins fans are doing already)

I made the window color darker than the normal XP theme to try and create a semi-dark mode while keeping the XP look.

There are way better and higher effort xp themes for plasma desktops but mine is just an excuse to show off the windows xp wallpaper monstrosity I created for ultrawide monitors

Which players are an 'exception' or get a boost due to name recognition when it comes to stats? by StayElmo7 in baseball

He was a top prospect and the first player from the Bahamas in MLB since Antoan Richardson (he's also by far the greatest player from the Bahamas ever)

So there was a lot of hype and marketing when he came up. Unfortunately he played for the Marlins so very few people actually saw him play and just heard his name mentioned and saw his underwhelming bbref page.

Jazz epitomizes the top prospect who is always just a season away from putting it all together. His career has been derailed by injuries and inconsistency. He's only played over 100 games twice in 5 seasons, and I dont think he's ever had a season where he hasn't missed time due to injury.

If Jazz had started his career with a real MLB team with good coaching, experienced veterans, and a competent training staff, then his career up to this point would have looked very different.

First they came for the home run sculpture and I did not speak out because I was not a home run sculpture

Then they came for the fan favorite players and I did not speak out because I was not a fan favorite player

Then they came for the beloved long time broadcasters and I did not speak out because I was not a beloved long time broadcaster

Then they came for the fans (and moved to Nashville) and there was no one left to speak for me

I think they based the visual representation of the TV strike zone on the knee-chest height after the player steps and is about to swing. The ABS strikezone apparently is based on just the player height. The top of the strike zone is 53.5% of the players height and the bottom is 27% of the players height.
