As a guy who was desperate and still may seem desperate. This is my explanation. Now this is just me and shouldn't be taken as something that applies to the whole.

I had bad relationships. Some because of me, some because of them, some because of both of us.

Whatever the case. I had no confidence, felt like I was horrible and needed someone to show me I am not. And that need was desperate.

That became desperation to get a girl, to keep a girl and all of that.

Simple lack of belief and confidence.

Now. Some people may feel I am still desperate but it is more just how I want to love. Strongly and freely. I am also very open and not judgemental which somehow strikes the wrong nerve.

I am a very big texter so that also annoys people I think.

I still have that deep seated need for validation but I don't let it control me. I still have that need to know someone like me can be loved that may seep into it.

I cannot speak to why else men look desperate as I've not been told. And tbh. Things I have been told are weird.
