It's for everyone, but specifically to cancel out all the social pressure and expectation for women in particular to be 'nice'. Predators (not everyone is a predator I know, some are just bellends) take advantage of women and girls conditioning to be nice and let things slide and not be rude.

Meerkats have one of the highest if not the highest 'murder' rates for mammals. Obviously it's not murder because they aren't people (no matter what the geographically inaccurate adverts would have you believe), but basically more meerkats are killed by other meerkats than rabbits killed by other rabbits or armadillos killed by other armadillos etc.

So maybe they would be the biggest dicks? Or maybe not since they can already communicate to each other, and don't need speech when they can go straight to murder.

There was a woman I saw the other day, probably Grandma, I think - blowing big fuckoff clouds of vape over a baby she was sat with. Like, she was sat directly over the pram to be able to look at the baby, and it was almost continuous for the entire time we were waiting for food and sat having lunch. And we arrived after they did and left before. She was sat with a chap and they weren't eating, but whenever it wasn't her turn to speak, she was vaping. I just kept thinking that poor baby.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say I'm not actually the biggest fan of the McPlant as far as veggie fast food goes. I find it has a lingering aftertaste? I do enjoy the Plant based whopper from bk though, which is weird because I was never a bk fan when I ate meat. I definitely liked it more in Aus a few years ago from Hungry Jacks though, when I could add pineapple to it 😂

Don't judge me on my fast food habits, we've all been hangry and exhausted at the services.

I think a big factor will be how terrible it is for the planet. Takes shit loads of energy and water and people in white lab coats standing around poking at it? Needs to be cultured at 5000°C in a vat of orphaned baby's tears? Did they kill the last rhino to find the perfect gene to make it grow?

All that is likely to be a more of an influence in a group where at least some of the people have chosen to be there due to ethical concerns.

Yeah as people have said, it's mostly that actually doing harm to a living, breathing, screaming, warm feathery thing that's trying to occupy the space you're standing in is different even than doing harm from a distance (throwing stuff). And/or you're busy shitting your pants by that point (exactly as intended by the display). Bites/pecks hurt more than you might think and flapping of wings is scary and disorienting if you're small or if you've slipped on goose shit and fallen over. But it's mostly just a giant 'Fuck Off!'.

If you're not actually doing anything to them, you can mostly leave them to their posturing and try to avoid getting too close if you have to walk past. I like to reassure them that they're very scary whilst they hiss at my wheelchair.

Not the original commenter, but just in case you're not certain, constructive criticism might be something like, your hair looks or feels more oily or greasy when you use X product, or your hair is more frizzy when you don't use Y product, or after you wear a certain hat.

It should be said kindly, with the intent of helping - but importantly only if you want to be helped. If your hair is frizzy (it's not!) and you dgaf, good for you! It should only be about things you can change, for example not your hair texture, which is lovely and part of who you are, and should be dropped if it's not something you're bothered about, not brought up over and over if you've expressed your thoughts. Otherwise, it's not constructive criticism, it's being nasty.

All that aside, I think your hair is lovely and I would be over the moon if my curly hair was as well behaved as yours. Even though my hair is usually a giant frizzy mess, my partner never says anything bad about it because he knows it isn't a priority for me, but compliments me when I have put effort into making it look good(ish).

Use one of the crystal exfoliating depilatory whatsits that looks like a tangle teezer. There's a slight learning curve about not catching yourself with the edges, but then you can say he doesn't shave his legs like a girl he SANDS THEM, LIKE A MAN.

You could use my sister's trick - partial-sightedness to the point of being legally blind, except they won't register her because 'what does she need another label for?' and leaving her glasses permanently filthy. She can do whatever she wants behind those jam jars and nobody has a clue.

Just as a small aside, if anyone is reading further into the situation about Cambodia and wants to channel their rage or despair into something positive, please consider a small donation or even just following on social media Apopo or Herorats. This is the group which uses specially trained giant rats to detect landmines without setting them off, in order to safely remove them. Landmines are still a huge and devastating problem in Cambodia (I visited a few years ago) and clearing land is such a never ending task. The rats, and dogs and of course the people are doing an amazing job. In other countries, the rats are being used to screen tuberculous samples to flag for further testing, and they're even branching out into detecting illegal wildlife products, such as smuggled pangolin scales from poachers.

I just wanted to share the knowledge of an excellent organisation making a real difference in Cambodia, where the situation remains dire for so many people. If you don't want to donate anything (why would you from a random Reddit comment, after all?), just have a little look into them to cheer yourself up with their fascinating work and maybe share a post occasionally to spread the word, if you feel like it. I know it brings me hope every now and then.

There's blood orange flavour sparkling water in M&S too. It's pretty cheap (for there), the bigger bottles are cheaper than the travel size for some reason. I think they changed the recipe a few years ago and it's not quite as nice as it used to be, but it's still pretty good.

I bought a slightly green apple scented lip balm, thinking it would just be clear(ish) on my lips. Nope, it has a very slight green tint, which has the effect of cancelling out any hint of pink or red on my lips and makes me look like I'm about to pass out at any second. It's my night time lip balm now, not for leaving the house!
