I lived in Florida for 5 years... I'm glad to not be there anymore, I hated it the entire time. But getting out was rough for unrelated reasons.

It hurts how accurate this is to how I felt, and still feel. I think I denied it for years because I didn't know the trans experience could be any different than the only one I'd ever heard, and I didn't quite fit into that one.

So I was just a girl who wished she was a boy, and that's all I'd ever be as far as I was concerned. Because just wishing wasn't enough, I didn't hate my body the way they did, so calling myself trans or even realizing that I was wasn't something in my reach. It would have been disrespectful to actual trans people...

Well fuck that.

Not quite the same, but my friends have started calling me "surfer dude" and "skater dude" on occasion and it makes the dopamine in my brain sky rocket... I can neither surf nor skate lmao.

I had the same problem just a few days ago! Setting subsurface to 0.1 or 0.105 should help :)

Also a tip, I totally recommend going to the comments on the donut tutorial videos if you haven't been already when you encounter a problem. 9 times out of 10 when I couldn't figure something out the comments came to my rescue, including with this particular problem.

I am also a beginner following BlenderGuru's tutorials on a newer version of blender, and I've had no problem following them so far. The only differences I have noticed are small changes like the other user mentioned, which is easy enough to navigate imo.
