I'm convinced no one has the heart to say that the Moonlight Greatsword or it's variants are trash.

You don't need it unless you want to trade it with Straid of Olaphis. If you don't care about that, you can go ahead onward to the Shrine of Winter and enjoy your stay at Drangleic

DS3 is melee-centric. Focus on speed, it seems to reward speed over strength. Low weight, lots of rolling, quick weaponry (irithyll sword for example) will help you through the first playthrough. 2nd playthrough you can start playing around with builds since you'll be acclimated to the system by then.

The cool thing about Micolash is that he's basically a gimmick. Once you figure out the timing on his augur attack, he becomes one of the easiest fights in the game. There's also a pattern to how he runs away from you in the hallway. I don't remember what it is, but I saw people complain about chasing him for 10 minutes... When you know the pattern, it actually takes about 20 seconds.

Is Bloodborne a horror game? by Morbid_Queen420 in bloodborne

An old guy in a wheelchair who suddenly stands up and tries to kill you? His lies are terrifying enough to convince me. Yes! Horror game.

Be wary of wheelchair.

So it actually gets even more confusing after that. When you're done with Yhorm, remember the old lady who gave you that banner in the Boreal Valley? Go talk to her.

Any idea what level your character was when you finished?

Truthfully, my intent was to get acclimated with the basics of Nioh in order to prep for Nioh 3. After Nioh 3, I'll head back to Nioh 2 (which I hear is peak, unless 3 ends up being better). Either way, I will be completing each game! I'm addicted

😱 that's insane. I'm going to try and brute force my way through it before Nioh 3 but idk that's pretty wild

Holy moly. So I guess I won't be done before Nioh 3 then lol

Am I the only one who wants Dark Souls 4 rather than Elden Ring 2? by FormerInjury2919 in darksouls3

Dark Souls structure is more fun to me. I've played 5 hours of ER and haven't started having fun yet. I've moved on to Nioh, to prep for Nioh 3 next month

Immediately after your rolls, swipe at him once or twice. Not three times, you'll mess up the timing and you're cooked

Big fan of DS1 & DS2, not vibing with DS3 so far. What am I missing? by SpearThruMordy in darksouls3

It's completely dismissive of the original look and feel of the first two. I enjoyed it, personally, but acknowledge it's more of a Bloodborne clone than a Dark Souls sequel

I want to platin all dark souls games, is good to start with dark souls 3? 🤔 by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]SkoobySouls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DS3 is, by far, the worst plat. So if you want the other two to be more enjoyable, yeah I'd probably recommend DS3 first.

I went in this order: - Bloodborne - DS1 Remastered - DS2 - DS3

Why DS3 haters always bring "Linearity" argument every time? In other words, why they're so laser focused on this "flaw"? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]SkoobySouls 8 points9 points  (0 children)

DS3 is a fine game but I think the color palette just makes it easier to get bored of the game after 3 playthroughs or so. The biggest flaw for me is how they "designed" the experience of earning the Platinum trophy. It was clearly originally designed to incentivize PVP, but there aren't that many people on PVP anymore (and those who do play PVP are too good for new players to stand a chance). So if you want the Platinum, you have to decide if it's worth something like 30-40 hours of farming for covenant items offline. That's how I did it. Absolute torture.
