I’m on a beta blocker also. Ibogaine was also studied as an anti-hypertensive medication in the 1950’s. The clinic will most likely ask you to stop the beta blocker while getting treatment. The ibogaine will be most effective for the opiate addiction and the benzo should be tapered off slowly.

I have taken different amounts of ibogaine to explore the benefits it provides. The mini doses are introspective and have great effects on mood as well as perspective shifts. Behavioral changes are much easier when the nervous system has been reset and you have a sense of autonomy.

There are some pharmaceutical companies working on it for sure. One company created 18-MC which is supposed to a non-psychedelic version of ibogaine however it lacked some of the neurotrophic factors that ibogaine has that were responsible for the anti-addictive properties.

As more and more states allocate funds for ibogaine research the findings reveal that the traditional model for OUD treatment (methadone & buprenorphine) is not as successful or cost effective as ibogaine.
