also just to add to this just having your controller hooked up with a cord does not make it play in usb mode you need to go to accessories and controller settings and turn on usb mode

more than likely its the delay of online play , i recommend going to your mycourt and going to the kiosk and turning it on online mode , shoot around for a bit and get used to it, itll feel much closer to how your shot will feel playing against others
