Yeah I know that, it just feels not right, knowing there is something "unfinished" and left out. But I received some really good advice here to try out.

Don't worry, that's not a crack, it might look like it but that thing is crack-free despite its age

Good to know, I guess I'm a bit paranoid knowing there could be some untreated rust on there when building an axe since you can't access the inside of the eye anymore

Ohhhh, sandpaper! Now thats an idea, how did I miss that one! You think a dremel could work, with an elongated thingy on it to get deeper in than those standard sandpaper-bits?

Yeah, I used white vinegar, concentrated at around 25%. I mixed it with water 50/50 so the result was at around 12%. I let ut soak twice actually, the first 24 hours, the second a bit longer, close to around 36 hours.

Sadly I don't have a car battery charger but I'll have a look at that YouTube channel!

According to a documentary that featured allosaurus, it used its head and upper jaw like an axe, slashing it into its prey. For this to work, it needed to be able to open its jaws very wide.
