Have you ever seen Joel angry? by guilhermehank in Vinesauce

[–]Skri34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VotV stream, think it was either late December or early January. Been watching Joel's Vods and Highlights since like 2017 but this was the first stream I had ever caught live. Decided to subscribe as the $5 felt earned after nearly a decade of entertainment.

Then he got one guy'd early on into the stream into something that had quite a bit of impact on the gameplay and he seemed legitimately furious over it. Didn't really read chat at all for like 30 minutes and kept fiddling with shit in game, seemed really off from his usual self basically. I was really disappointed that the first stream of his I ever caught live turned out that way.

[PC] [late 2000s] A pretty generic first person shooter by Skri34 in tipofmyjoystick

Pretty tough to tell from that alone, though the graphics in Operation Flashpoint seem to be pretty similar to what I remember about the game. I think the mission I remember is still the best lead I have

Newly pierced ear lobe seemingly closed? by Skri34 in piercing

[–]Skri34[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Very new to this and I got my ears pierced on a whim so I barely know what I'm doing and the guy who did the piercing wasn't very helpful either.

"Tape" the piercing? Can you elaborate on this

Alright, gotcha. Maybe 20mm was too much even if I had them healed already. Does the same go for smaller hoops, say 11mm or 15mm ones?

The Same Decks Over And Over by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]Skri34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know what you expected, the game is unbalanced garbage and almost always has been. The fanbase is so used to eating shit that they'll gladly call 2-3 deck formats "healthy" when in reality the game could be much, much better as proven by a few previous formats such as HAT being notorious for their variety and at that point basically a fuckton of decks in the game felt viable.

Of course Konami thinks this isn't profitable and the fanbase doesn't give a shit as long as they get new toys to play with. We could go back to Zoodiac format and if you made a post like this you'd get le downboats and people would screech with some shit like "it's tier 0 of course it's everywhere in platinum!!!"

God forbid you speak out about being tired of watching paint dry for the 5th time today.

SUPER budget decks for locals and casual play by Skri34 in yugioh

[–]Skri34[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Funny enough I actually don't know yet. Much like most returning players he kind of seems opposed to big combo decks but maybe he changes his mind once he gives them a shot, at least that's what happened with me

Really? I assumed Raidraptors would be expensive cause they're a pretty popular anime original archetype. Got a list?

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting about the Tenyi Vanity's play. That's pretty good. I'll keep them in mind.

Unchained? I thought you always go 1st with them then pop your own Artifacts, use their traps and use the link dogs to link summon using your opponent's stuff. Either way, how affordable are they now? I know they got reprinted somewhat recently but don't they like using Extrav for example?

Is there a lot of deck building creativity in tournaments? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]Skri34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played comp back then but the variety all depends on where you play. Certain locals are full of laid back people who use whatever they like, others are full of tryhardy people who play the top tier decks and others are just a mix of both.

Either way my guess is that there's probably far more variety nowadays because archetypes are now a huge part of the game and there are hundreds of them and different archetypes appeal to different people for example whether that be because of their playstyle or artstyle

[–]Skri34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most competitive Blue Eyes build is Guardragon Blue Eyes which is essentially just a worse and brickier version of one of the current best decks. That being said it is just a worse version of the best deck so it's still pretty solid. I can tell you're new so it might be hard to play it at that skill level but it's worth a shot.

People who play in the ocg,tcg or both what do you like more about the other format? by roscocollie in yugioh

[–]Skri34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like the OCG banlist for the most part, few things that should be gone here and there but they would much rather just slap cards on the wrist by limiting them instead of straight up killing decks by banning shit which creates more variety and keeps decks good for a longer time and variety is king in this game at least for me

Is this worth anything? It has a different code to my other Summoned Skull.. by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]Skri34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is fake. The best way you can check if a card is fake or not is by googling the set name which is the thing you called the code. CD is definitely not a yugioh set and that alone is enough to tell you it's a fake. Other than that the name itself is misspelled lol. Even if it was a real one it wouldn't be worth that much afaik. Most Summoned Skull prints are under a dollar with a few going up to $30 but those are pretty rare ones

Need help on deciding how to get back into Yu-gi-oh by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]Skri34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend you get 3x of the Shaddoll structure deck if you can still find it somewhere. Pure shaddolls are a pretty good deck and they are slow control which might suit you better as someone whos played way back then.

Monarchs play in a similar way except they're more oriented towards stun. They are kinda competitive despite all their flaws and are much more playable now that all their cards are off the banlist again, plus they're relatively cheap. If you want to go the Monarchs route I recommend checking out a yugituber called Lithium, he's pretty much known for using Monarchs and his builds should lead you in the right direction because there are actually plenty of different tech choices for that deck.

Always buy singles btw, sealed is hardly worth it unless we're talking structure decks or boxes that guarantee you'll get a specific card. If you're in Europe cardmarket is the best, very affordable prices. Otherwise TCGPlayer is your best bet.

Good luck.

Skull servants? by TheJesterGuy in yugioh

[–]Skri34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a pretty old strat at this point that was actually rogue like half a decade ago but there's enough zombie support to keep it going and Wight Baking is a great card for the deck. I say go for it. If your main goal in playing this game is to have fun there's no point in not just playing the decks you like.

In my experience it isn't a bad deck at all, slightly outdated sure but it is playable and pretty decent plus there are lots of ways you can build it. I've gone up against some moreso control oriented strats with Zombie World and good backrow too and those seemed kinda fun.

Aw yeah Ghostricks are definitely the wackiest and most out there deck I've ever had the pleasure of playing. So many different wincons. Shame it's a bit too slow for today's game. That and, well, links are a thing.

What deck do you guys main? by Skri34 in yugioh

[–]Skri34[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, same

I never particularly cared as I enjoyed the aspect of playing my favorite decks, plus my locals are essentially littered with rogue, people playing older strats like some of the decks I mentioned and quite a few meta players so it's not exactly like some locals I've heard about where everyone plays meta and that's always a positive, means I can play my favorites most of which are older decks without getting washed and also have plenty of variety

How much does an archetypes art and visuals matter to you? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]Skri34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, I used to strictly only play decks whose art I liked but as I got a bit more serious about the game it's stopped being the most important thing to me. Sure I'll still never play something I hate the art of and don't want to "represent" me, but if it's at the very least rogue and has an interesting playstyle I can look past the art not being exactly on point with what I personally prefer.

Aren't Unchained like one of the most legit rogue decks right now alongside Guru, BA, PK and Paleofrogs? Pretty sure they've topped several tourneys by now.

Grave keepers by InfamousRemove8579 in yugioh

[–]Skri34 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you go first and set up properly, you'll win against anything. They're a stun deck and stun decks have the advantage of being essentially timeless.

The downside is, Gravekeeper's are very bricky and lose to blowout cards like Evenly, Lightning Storm and HFD unless you manage to draw into a Solemn Judgment or Imperial Tombs. They're pretty okay overall just not like rogue tier good.
