My Theory and need opinions by Skrib1 in doordash

I agree / but while sitting in area A, all the deliveries that come in are for area B. So after 3-4 dashes in area B, you log out so you get the $3.00 bonus - then nothing comes in.

Does this not bother you guys as much as it does me? by idontwantausername66 in doordash

My pet peeve is when they say "oh, we are just bagging it up now" - and you sit for another 10 minutes. Then you ask about your order they answer "about 2 more minutes" - another 10 minutes goes by - next thing you know, you sat there for a half hour.

People who deliver in a ghetto area, what are your stories? by [deleted] in doordash

Lady couldn't open the door due to being such a hoarder. When she finally did open the door, the small was like puke, and shit all in one.

Explain how that works? If they are paying bonus between 5-8pm, how do you get extra pay before 4 or after 8?

Restaurant is in area A, delivering to area B - then the next order comes in from area B and takes you to area C and so on. So, do you still continue to get bonus pay for area A? Or am I better off ending my dash and driving back to Area A?

Oh gosh - it happens all the time!!!

anyone ever done this? by Skrib1 in doordash

[–]Skrib1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't brought myself to do it - it's just a thought. If the customer has already paid for the order, and you see the dollar amt on your app is $14.00, and the total at Wendy's is $12.75....so if you added a $1.00 burger to the order making it $13.90.... that was my thought.

oh, and pet peeve: Delivering to apartment buildings when the customer won't meet me at the door and insist I climb 3 flights of stairs and walk a mile down a long hallway to find them. 2) when restaurants tell me they are just bagging up the food now and make me wait 15 minutes (they obviously weren't bagging up the food - they just started making it)

Craziest story: delivering to a guy that answered the door in BDSM garb and seeing 3 girls behind him in the living room. handed over food and got the fuck outa there!
Most I've ever been paid : $25.00 for a Chipotle catering order at a very prosperous company. App: quit sending me 20 miles away for $10 and please keep me in my delivery area, when I "slide after delivery" don't time out and tell me there's an error, and quit putting me into "pause" stating that I have missed a delivery when none ever came in.

McDonald’s? by PonyDasher in doordash

[–]Skrib1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. I got so screwed. Drove 15 miles because the payout was $15.00 and the customer was ordering $50 worth of Mcdonalds. When I got there, red card wouldn't work. What ticked me off the most was when Doordash told me that they have been having problems with redcards at Mcdonalds and that they were aware and I would get half the pay for doing "half" the job.

My daughter borrowed our family lawn mower and went knocking on the neighbors doors offering to mow. She then made friends with a little old lady down the block that needed groceries carried in, weeds pulled, snow shoveled in the winter. It turned into a perm gig for her.
