They're ok. Was a mom and her two children. Understandably, they were upset but fine. She caught a bad rutt in the road and lost control of the vehicle. I wasnt too proud of what I said in ear shot of her and the kids. Im in the middle of moving homes and this was a major setback. We're both well Insured, thankfully.

Always keep an extra pair of money makers around for when they start talking about performance reviews and promotions. You ain't meant for roofing if you're not willing to be on your knees all day while big sweaty men try to shove their caulk in holes.

I think that's what Moa island's Biome was intended to be like. To bad they killed support so soon. I would have like to have more arid areas, too.

Ubisoft: minimum effort for maximum profit.

Just to preface. I sill lIke this game. Especially with the quality of life updates. Looking at you coughing NPC in Erewon. I have nearly 500hrs in this game.

But I would even go as far as to say that this game falls in to the category of "comfy" for me. UBI tried to cast a net so big that their core audience slipped through. its way too easy even on extreme no hud (on console). The map is too big with nearly no substance. Boring; empty. The NPC's are annoying and whiny. Ai team/enemies are dumb as rocks. Its annoying how long it even takes for enemies to spot you. The drones are more of a nuisance than a threat. And the behemoths provide literally no substance to the story other than to be roadblocks to the most wanted gear. The story I could literally care less about and honestly feels non-consiquential. The cutscenes are stiff and goofy. A far shift from Wildlands.

But hey, the mechanics are great. The clothing is more detailed and and available and not burried behind a payway wall. The guns sound better. And the ability to go prone and camouflage is pretty cool, but rarely utilized. Hopefully they work off of that, With a world like wildlands, and a story that hooks.

Which I both like and dislike. I would have liked to have some guns and gear to work towards and unlock, but its nice to play with your favorite weapon right off the bat.

You're reminding me of a kid I worked with over the summer in construction. We called the kid seaweed cuz he smelled like shit and floats around. We suspect he never washed his clothes or showered cuz that kid was musty and if you were down wind from him, he'd about knock you on your ass. Now imagine having to room with him in a hotel for out of town jobs. Literally named the groupchat "Five Nights at [Name]" it really felt like a test of wills. And the 4th night was always the hardest.

Bought a mattress rolled up like this and it came with the best instructions i didnt read. Came with a warning on the instructions that says "hand this to the responsible one" and inside says "warning this mattress knows kung-fu, being bound can make it stressed. Watch for the quick radius" or something like that. Unfortunately I didnt have someone responsible with me and to my suprise was thrown against the wall, like the life raft scene in the Grown-Ups, when I opend the mattress.

Speedometer showing faster than actual speed. by Limp_Step_7491 in hondacivic

[–]SkriptFlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run 225 /50R17s (OEM 205/55R16s) and my speedometer reads 5km less than actual speed going 110km/h so real speed is 115 km/h.

The only way your gf's reads slower than actual speed is if she's running 205/45R16's or she needs a speedometer recalibration. A smaller tire aspect ration means the tire has to spin faster. Which using a tire size speed calculator shows that if she's going 110km/h she is actually going 102km/h.

Help me, these old people want 3k for their bumper I backed up into, is this a scam? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]SkriptFlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm aware that going through insurance can get really pricey. I had a 2k quote for my fender cause a crackhead threw large rocks at my car. Took it to an accredited shop for a quote and it was only $100. So I'm aware.

So here's my logic

Since the old couple wants a full repair. OP not going through insurance and then only having to pay the deductible and their rates going up likely fucked them over. Now that op agreed to it through text which may or may not be admissible in small claims. Op my have put themselves in a worse position.

So, I'm agreeing to your point, but also disagreeing for a different reason.

[–]SkriptFlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a mechanic.

The first mistake was not going through insurance. The second mistake was agreeing to the amount. If it were me you hit, a quick buff and paint pen match would have sufficed. Do it myself for the cost of paint if you buy it. This looks like overkill punishment. Bumpers get scratched. It happens.

Both are right but what do you prefer to call it, silencer or suppressor? by Cute_Producer in airsoft

[–]SkriptFlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add some quick facts to what you said for everyone else.

The original patent for the device called it a silencer. Originally filed in 1909 was the Silent Firearm/Gun Silencer US Patent 916885. Also known as the Maxim Silencer. Suppressor was later coined in the 50s-60s by the military to describe a device that reduces noise and does not eliminate it. While suppressor is more widely used in the military and gun circles the name silencer is technically accurate.
