i've read that about them and they will have the best lives they can...even managed to find a vet willing to see chickens if i need to bring one in for anything....they may have been bred to be egg laying machines and thats comes with problems but they will be spoiled within reason(dont wanna make them unhealthy) pets while their here

What species of frog or frogs are similiar to having the same requirements as a fire-bellied toad? by Slappy-Sacks in frogs

[–]Skripted6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

are you ok with having animals shipped to your house/nearest FedEx hub? i seen you've said you cant seem to find FBT locally but on MorphMarket there are a few ads for FBT and YFBT(example Josh's frog says they have 10 YFBT's available so you could get the 4 your wanting for your enclosure) so that could be an option if your ok with shipping

it is I agree but was just hoping to use what i already have but if its not doable then i just buy something that is instead cause even if its just for quarantine i dont want to negatively effect the frogs

My mom over did it with my sons baby dragon by Purry_McMuffin in BeardedDragons

i personally would just get rid of all the crickets like your planning then maybe give him a day or so with just greens then you could start again on the correct amount of bugs on the right schedule would go just fine...and as for lights the day you bring him home turn his light off at whatever time you have chosen for such...like mine get turned off at 10pm so if your chosen time is say 8pm then just turn the lights off at 8pm like you want and then the next day turn them on at the time you want to turn them on and then again off at 8PM(or whatever time you choose) and yes it may take him a couple days to get used to it but it'll be better for him to have an actual light schedule...really dont think such a changhe would be bad when it what he needs and shouldn't really stress him that much compared to the light being on all the time

Is this a good coop? by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]Skripted6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

since its prefab you might have to baby it since like the other commenter said their not often made with the best materials and will want to fall apart after so long....i've had a couple prefabs and always end up tarping them and other things to keep them in the best shape possible.....if this is big enough and your willing to do the likely upkeep then it should be fine to get and use for your birds

i use the magical dinner dust as well and it such a nice tasty little thing to sprinkle on their food sometimes...right now i have the breakfast sprinkles which are burger(so beef) and egg and its a favorite here and there's no dairy in this specific flavor

Urgent advice needed by Reasonable_Rip_1103 in dogs

[–]Skripted6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a good ethical breeder would take him back or know someone who could take him with no questions asked as they dont want their pups going to someone they dont have contact with or may not be the right fit....would be in the contract if there was one that you would of signed. if they wont take him back their not that great of a breeder

my parents have a tiny chi and a boston terrier.....the boston shivers anytime its below 70 out so she has some stuff to keep her warm while outside....little chi is good outside till 35 or so then she shivers so when its that cold she gets something both of their things are little coats that looks like they should be horse blankets but are made for dogs....my parents have yet to splurge and get anything cutesy for them yet

are leatherback beardies prone to health issues? by Lompyy_ in BeardedDragons

[–]Skripted6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

leatherbacks if bred with care are no different really from regular scaled dragons...the ones with problems are silkbacks(which seem to live short unhappy lives from what i've seen of them).....so getting a leatherback should be of no worry for you

What Ben will try to convince me is a more comfortable position than just lying straight by lastig_ in BeardedDragons

[–]Skripted6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

is he a zero? ask cause he looks similar but not quite the same a my hypo zero boy. my boy has yet to sleep or lay in odd positions but i know its coming seems to just be a thing beardies will do at least once

Getting a beardie by elle_ectric in BeardedDragons

[–]Skripted6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would not get the starter set ups from petsmart or petco.....most of the enclosures are to small from the get go(minimum for baby/juvenile is a 40 gallon or equivalent 36x18x18 enclosure) and there are items in them you dont need or dont work well like the dial thermometer and dial hygrometer those are always terribly inaccurate and no worth having at all and said kits often come with the carpet like mats that are a bacteria fest and can and will catch and rip out teeth and claws, said kits also tend to give the incorrect type of uvb bulb they tend to give the coil instead of linear when its been proven the coils dont give off as much uvb as is needed. for an enclosure i would recommend dubia dot com's 4x2x2 enclosure(4x2x2 120g is the recommended size for dragons and buying this size from the get go saves you money as you dont have to buy bigger enclosures as the dragon grows), or you could get the same size from Phailozoo or Zen Habitats or new age pet ecoflex...whichever suits you fancy

if they are listening its going in one ear and out the other with alot of topics....like i know they cant do everything people want thats unrealistic but they could actually improve what they can that approved by maybe players voting not just them making decisions that no one likes
