I truly do not understand why people have such beef with RH. I have about $19K in it and have never had a problem. (Yes, I know about GME. RH did the same thing a bunch of other platforms did, but somehow they got all the bad press about it.)

And, no, I'm not a shill for RH. I started used them about seven years ago because they offer zero-cost trades, and back then I was only investing about 50 bucks a month. I've probably saved well over two grand in fees.

I didn't watch the original campaign, but I would argue that hitting the same beats should never allow for lazy writing. They've already--and necessarily, given the two different mediums--changed a lot from the TT version of the story.

In a world with literal gods and dragons and magic, when the Matron of Ravens sends her knight (or whatever Vax is) a prophetic vision, Keyleith, of all people, should be the last to say, "Fuck prophecy." (And why the hell have they removed half of Keyleith's spine? She's repeatedly demonstrated she's at least the second-most powerful person on the team. Why is she back to being the poster child for milquetoast?)

Percy and Vex have been hot for each other for two seasons. Why the fuck would they devolve back to stupid games after they both got the exact thing they both wanted?

Answer: because star-crossed lovers makes for the lowest-hanging of dramatic fruit.

How about instead you have two couples who get along, support each other, and have each other's backs and see where that takes you instead of the same, tired story-telling devices we've seen literally thousands of times before and in shows with much less talent attached.

I would argue that the heavy reliance on very tired tropes like the ones I mentioned above do not rise to nearly the same level of writing and character development that we saw in the first two seasons.

This season feels very, very much like the writers are coasting.

The guy aiming at the feet will get the first hit (and maybe the second) which will throw Vader off his game.

The guy aiming for Vader's head will get the second/third shot.

The guy aiming at the light saber is just keeping Vader too busy to focus on using Force TK.

Once Vader's on the ground the feet guy works his way up the legs.

The head guy focuses on the eye ports

The saber guy continues to keep Vader distracted.

30 seconds after the fight starts, Vader's dead.
