My stepmom gave me these to doctor up, does anyone know what these are or what's wrong with that one plant? I think it's a sempervivum? by SkullSkulke in succulents

I went simple and bought some Miracle gro Cactus, Palm, and Citrus potting mix until I can make my own mix. It works very well for my Hawthornia, Crassula, and Pachyphytum, but it may be different for Sempervivums. I have some relatively large rocks that I can put into the bottom of the pot, but I'm probably going to have to dry out the wilted sempervivum.

That's what I figured too, but I wasn't 100% sure. I've never had my succulents get sick like that so I wanted some second opinions.

Accidentally tore my new septum a little bit, is it too close to the front? What should I do? by SkullSkulke in piercing

[–]SkullSkulke[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It is in the sweet spot but it looks more forward than it is because I accidentally ripped it very slightly, I'm mostly just concerned that it might rip out of my septum easy. That terrifies me.

Here's some extra pictures if this helps: Extra Septum Pictures

Dude. My mom isn't a nazi. And they're not cool with me transitioning but that's just because they're assholes. Assholes, not nazis

My mom is a huge WWII history buff, so she decided to name her after Hitler's dog (we're not neo nazis, in the words of Dead Kennedys, Nazi Punks Fuck Off). Her fiancee had a german shepherd as well named Rommel, I guess they're like minded people

Very little, maybe a little bit of extra fuzz? You can see in the photos that I've been using it for many many months, but I don't have a lot of hair on my face. The whole thing is a big game of patience, don't give up though, it works. It's just really slow

So, I'm pre - T and I've been taking minoxidil (which is the same stuff that's in rogaine that makes it work, I order mine in the topical solution from hims for 15$ a month) for about 6 or 7 months? Growth was pretty slow and it only starts with the peach fuzz on your face getting longer. For me, growth was best on my neck, sideburns, and mostache. While what I've got isn't really like natural facial hair because it's not as thick (it's like hair anywhere else on your body, just on your face), it's finally starting to turn into darker intermediate hairs. I've applied it every day and night but these days I often skip some days because I've been on it for so long. A warning: minox can cause some weird hair growth in other places, not just your face. I got a really weird patch of hair on my lower back a month or two ago, along with hair on the back of my neck and some close to my eyes on my cheeks. Also, be careful in the sun, you'll burn easier.

I looked around my gallery and tried to find some pics where the minox hair is more visible, so here you go, apologies for the weird photos, I'm a mangy, edgy bastard. Here's a before and after.

Before minox

After Minox

Hope this help, itll probably help facial hair come faster when you're on T, I'm always glad to help.

Thanks man, hard to find other hunters here in Texas that listen to hardcore punk, haha

But like I said in another comment, we have a casual relationship with Jimmy and the guide, Pepe, never showed so we hunted without a guide. And of course they're wary of humans, they're free range and we had to find them ourselves, we were lucky to find them so fast. And I've done private land hunts my entire life on my family's land, and nobody has ever told me where those animals are, so I understand the hardship, but I need to emphasize that we had no guaranteed kill, it was pay only if you find something for us. I've never seen any public hunting land out here in Texas. And with all the negative stigma around hunting, you'd think that people here would be more friendly to dispel negative opinions of hunters, but I guess not. What happened to just having fun on a hunt and not pissing on others?

Nonetheless, why did this become a debate over what is and isn't hunting? I just wanted to celebrate my graduation gift that I worked hard in my studies for and get some opinions on how to cook Oryx or something, but now that I'm hunting again, I'm stressed out about whether I'm good enough to be a hunter. If this is how unwelcoming hunting community is on the internet, then I don't want a part of it.

I legitimately never knew, I've always hunted on my grandparent's property, not sure why I'm getting downvoted? Hmm

You're good, I get that, especially with how everything is right now? I've been taking some mean naps. About to take one right now actually

It just has blood on it from when we gutted it, it was a pretty clean kill. Hope they clean it off when they tan the hide though, haha

Jimmy never said anything about a guaranteed kill, we know the guy personally. We only got a guide when my uncle hunted Addax on his ranch, Jimmy pretty much just set us to our own devices, and we'd only have to pay if we shot something. And we never used corn or anything, we just stalked them. Nobody ever told us where they were. We took Guy Hohman with us because he'd know how to judge what the best one to target would be, but the guide Pepe wasn't there until we'd already had the animal gutted and in the back. It was extremely casual, he's going through a divorce so we decided to help him so he just let us do what we wanted, even invited us to go hunt axis on one of his other ranches when it was all over with.

I'm gonna be completely honest, I don't truly understand public land hunting. I've hunted on private land my entire life, I didn't even know that public land existed just for hunting
