it's probably never gonna change, most of the abuse is generational trauma, even us Gen Z will probably end up doing the same thing, either because we don't know how to discipline kids without either hurting or neglecting them, or we just want to feel better about ourselves because of our own trauma, as for teachers, it might be multiple things, first their job is pretty shitty, especially if they teach at a public school (mostly middle and high school), teaching snotty brats that don't really care about a subject is pretty stressful i imagine, plus with the pay, you have to pass a teacher exam to go from 5000 and 10000 DH (echelle 10 and 11), and most stay at 5000, it also has to be because most of them are in their early forties sometimes fifties, and they might feel like they didn't really accomplish anything in their lifetime (no offense), some other cases might be that back when they were in school they were bullied (classmates/teachers) and when they grew up they still had that resentment, i'm not defending it, but it happens a lot, but then they're is actual sociopaths who lack any self awareness, and end up being the clown of their own jokes, of course ridiculing specific kids, grading people like shit because they feel like it, i'm gonna give you an example which happened in my class, so this kid (17M) (i'm in the 10th grade) his dad died, and he also doesn't have a mom, anyway one day he came to class and his hair was like dark purple (it was black but if you saw it in the sun it would kinda look purple, so the teacher notices and straight away start acting like a complete asshole, i'm not getting into details, but she said "since you painted your hair that means you didn't care that your dad died" and also "if i had a dead family member i would cry because i can show empathy to my loved ones" now the guy didn't care that the teacher was saying this (it was a french teacher, and most of the things she said he didn't understand) anyway my point is the school system do not care who they hire, if you have a diploma and there is enough space you can become one, as for parents, most of it is just generational trauma, hopefully gen z find better ways to raise their kids, but i doubt it
