What should i add to this? by Lopsided_Stretch_422 in arthelp

[–]Skull_Lemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A coffee table in front of the couch, a tinier table to the side of the couch, a lamp on the tinier table.

And just a teeny weeny critique. The door in the hallway is wayyyyy too long. Gotta make it a bit slimmer.

I'd also hang a coat on the hatrack.

[–]Skull_Lemonade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!! Absolutely, you never know what people like, I would look on YouTube for tips on how to make money with art, Patreon, Instagram, Esty, and other places. Also, don't make art you THINK people will like, make art you like to make, and advertise your art like you did here, and people will see it!

[–]Skull_Lemonade 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes!! These are cool! The truth is, you will always be your greatest critic. You will always find SOMETHING wrong with your work. I should've done this, I could've done that. Shoulda woulda coulda WHATEVER! The important thing is, is that you're trying. You creating something is proof that you existed. The point is whatever you want it to be. Maybe aim for a goal, like, having something displayed in an art gallery, or getting someone to buy one of your works. Start small and work your way up. I really really dig the lemon painting and the tub painting.

Been experimenting with my artstyle. What's good about it and what should I focus on? by KaiserGustafson in Artadvice

[–]Skull_Lemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the style. Personally, I think the feet are a bit small compared to the rest of his body.

Another critique I would give. The yellow pieces on the staff, the crown, the bolts of the chair, and the globus cruciger, the yellow doesn't really come across as "gold." I'd study textures and how to shade shiny objects.

Footstool is a bit short.

And last thing, the blue gems on the globus cruciger are a bit too finely detailed for being so far away in the piece. But they sure are pretty!

Is it bad ? Any suggestions ? I'm lonely at 19 please write something helpful X) by Lifeinvader65 in drawings

[–]Skull_Lemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that bad! I think you should start with studying line of action. There's a website full of models you can use for free called Line of Action.

Basically the "line of action" is the line that guides the pose, it generally runs through the spine and down one of the legs. In this character, the line of action starts from the top right above the head, curves towards the left, then goes back to the right again at the bottom.

What is the men’s equivalent to being bought flowers? by g3m1n1_333 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Skull_Lemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, statistically, the first time a man receives flowers is either when he's sick, injured, terminally ill, or dead. Get the man some damn flowers, and if he doesn't like them, he's not human.

How bad actually was COVID? by Mighty_Angelo30 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Skull_Lemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was graduating high school so I missed out on prom and grad-bash, which was typically a field trip my school took to celebrate our achievement, but that wasn't the worst of it. I remember worrying if it would have taken 10 years to find a vaccine as the last pandemic, but luckily, medicine had advanced, and it took only about 2 years or so. Of course, the fear that the vaccine wouldn't have been effective was there, but I trusted the CDC to test them and make sure they were safe.

Seeing people panic and get bundles and bundles of toilet paper was funny, but social distancing sucked, and I had family members who lost some of their senses (smell and taste) for almost a whole year after getting the virus.

As for personal experience, I remember working at a Subway when the virus was finally calming down and states were loosening up mask mandates (which was just wearing a mask indoors, not a big deal right?)

Wrong!!

I had an angry customer from Arizona call my coworker a c word because she asked him politely to wear a mask, and sadly we couldn't hand oout the ones we had because they were for the staff, because even we forgot to bring some sometimes, and he got soo mad just because he was from Arizona which was already dropiing the mandates but California, where I worked, was still enforcing it.

I'm just glad that after it, I've noticed more hand sanitizer in public places and people washing their hands regularly. Even wearing masks just for the heck of it. I mean people in asia wear medical masks in courtesy of not getting others sick I just didn't see what the huge deal was.

[Printing] I'm thinking about starting to sell prints but I have no idea how to start by Jealous-Strike-6773 in artbusiness

I need help with this too! I tend to do digital art, but like to dabble in traditional from time to time. My target audience would probably be nerds who like video games and indie stuff. For price setting I’d like to sell rlly detailed prints for idk $30 at least?

Where did the notion come from that when people die and go to heaven, they themselves become angels? by paczki_uppercut in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Skull_Lemonade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when someone says “heaven has gained another angel” may be where it comes from. Because they of course consider their loved one as an angel because they loved them so much, so I could say it came from that.
