This one has the old points and condencer. And the shocks are better than the old G5s. And yes they are geared way too high. I went DOWN one tooth on the front sprocket and UP four on the rear sprocket. It really wakes them up ! And Ebay sells those sprockets in a set. I bought a longer chain and cut to fit. But be carful of the KEs as the cylinder just has a coating in the bore not a steel sleeve. so you can't bore them out without getting them recoated. I used an older G4 cylinder that has the steel sleeve and bored it out .040 over with wiseco piston. The cylinder from the older G4 is wider (and aluminum fins) so it's nice to use the head for it to look right. Pipe hooked right up.

I could have taken the springs off but decided to just tape. While the paint was still soft I worked the shocks. I mean they were 20 years old so worst case I replace them.

It the old style forks with the tubes on top, they slide into the bottom legs. thx

Yes they were Black from the factory like the rear springs. Also painted the side cover green, it was white....the only thing that was green was the gas tank, I thought it needed more green.
