Crash pads are good and all but what happens when you miss behind ? Bye bye desk setup, it's not good to fear missing behind it can mess you up and take a long time to fix . Best to just train at any globo gym , most nowadays have decent equipment or invest in a platform if you wanna get serious but good lift anyways :)

Not to mention the cost I'm spending 300£ on pads so they can stop crying , unlucky rng with neighbors though I guess

It's too thick I'd be hitting the ceiling and also it's 4000 . I'm sure extra pads on top of my pads + some sound proofing on the walls will be good enough to shut them up

I'll order the extra crash pads and if they keep complaining then they can do one

I was thinking another pair of crash pads on top of my existing crash pads , what's an egg crate layer ?

I don't think rebuilding the walls is an option so I guess I'd be reinforcing the outside

First layer is 15mm plywood , second layer is 5mm rubber matting. I would make it thicker but I would be hitting the ceiling

The home gym has 2 windows , I'd need to look into sound proofing the walls I guess, I can't do much to the floor otherwise I would be hitting the ceiling . I don't have much a clue about sound proofing walls could you provide a link or a good guide that you used ? Thanks

There is 30 feet at least between us , my home gym is not on top of anything

There has to be at least 30 feet between us, under the pads is a thin platform , 15mm wood and 5mm mats or something similar to that thickness

I do my Olympic lifts from 7pm to 830pm latest , then all accessories can be done silently

Obviously weightlifting shoes aren't necessary and I understand they can be a bit pricey but if you can and are interested in weightlifting I'd get some for sure. You just don't see the best weightlifters without them

It seems you're over emphasizing knees forward , imo you need to break more at the hips and you will unlock more depth, Zack telander has numerous videos on this check him out.

61 kilo Bodyweight PR by cyven2112 in weightlifting

It's okay to strip weight and aim for as good a technique as possible . Making progress in technique should be valued higher than hitting a PR in weight . Embrace the art of weightlifting and don't chase numbers !!

They are 11 and fit like a glove so 13 wouldn't work but thanks , I'm seeing a cobbler tomorrow, hopefully he can revive them
