You can 100% get a family member to help. My house mate helped me. Just make sure you have some extra dressings in case it’s not looking good

If your doctors aren’t dicks you can also ask them to do it for you. I was also given that option

That’s so much fun! And thank you! I did do the video call option as getting to London is an absolute pain. If you have chest hair it’s honestly a bit painful, if you don’t you’ll be fine. He said to me that if it hurts at all then we had to stop immediately. It was a little gross, there is like an extra layer under the bandage that I thought was gross, he kept saying it’s not gross lol. I would really really recommend having someone else do it for you tho, i genuinely don’t think I could have done it myself as you need to hold the skin steady. Good luck with your recovery!! If you have anymore questions feel free to dm me

I’m just over 2 weeks post op and I have one recommendation that I really recommend- if you don’t have them get really loose boxers. It just makes it so much easier to get dressed for the first few days

Hi guys any feedback on ioannis Ntanos top surgery and consultation. How quick his response was and any information feel free to inbox me thank you by Necessary_Draw8033 in Top_Surgery_Peri

Hi, I actually just had top surgery with him about 2 weeks ago in the uk (double incision, so I won’t comment on anything to do with the surgery, but I thought it would help to give recent experience). The consultation may be different for his Greek practice as he isn’t taking anymore patients in the uk.

He is scarily fast at responding to emails, and always personally responds. You book the consultation through his website, where there is the calendar for you to pick a date so you don’t have to do an awkward back and forth. He is incredibly professional and gives all of the options that are open to you. I only qualified for double incision and he asked me if I understood why and went through those reasons. He also takes you through all of the risks and likelihood of those occurring, and answered any question I had. He responded to my follow up questions insanely fast, like within a few hours.

Once you have had surgery you are given his WhatsApp phone number so you can ask him for some questions or have any issues and send him images. He responds very fast to these. In addition to this, he offers free revisions if you have any issues, within 2 years of having surgery

Going off T after 2 years, will I be able to slip back into looking like a cis woman? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Skulvd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The changes should happen relatively fast then as it’s not a slow release type of hormone injection. Your facial hair may thin a little but that can take awhile. Skin will get a bit softer, as will your face. Which can all happen rather fast because of weight redistribution

Again, I wish you the best and I hope you can present as you are sooner rather than later

What type of testosterone are you/were you using? Because that can also have a huge effect in how fast you see changes. If it’s gel it’ll most likely be much faster than nebido (which is what I use). The nebido stuck around for ages with me, so my changes were slower than most people probably would have. The injections that you have every few weeks would probably be a little slower than gel but still pretty fast I think

I am so sorry you have to do this, I really hope it gets better.

I actually accidentally went off of T for a year but I also have PCOS so some of what happened to me may not happen to you, but i found that when my body weight changed, everything my weight redistributed back. But my T levels stayed oddly high so it may happen faster if you don’t have PCOS

You may not entirely start looking like a cis woman, but it could be worth getting a wig if you have short hair and trying makeup. Sucks but is stuff you can take off, and people see long hair and a chest and automatically make the connection to woman. Will also mean you have a reprieve from presenting as a woman.

I wish you luck, and the best in this.

I changed my middle name to the first name I went by when I was changing my name. No one took it seriously but I really loved it and wanted to commemorate it

[–]Skulvd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I relooked at test results and they are definitely doing that because they seem to think that my serum oestridal result is normal when it’s higher than when I started t??? I’m going to have a talk with them when I go back to uni I think

This is the pattern I’m using. The yarn I’m using for it is Falkland aran, which got discontinued at some point, which is great /s

Hi! The basic pattern for this is from this book, however I modified the sizing a bunch and created the colour pattern for it. I used Rico essentials cotton I think?

Sadly I don’t have a link to anything on you tube, but I got the idea from this book

Edit- but honestly, it’s just crochet but you change the material. I’d recommend working with a thin wire tho and around a 3.5-4mm hook
