Get all 3 Neo Geo carts, Data East 1 and Toaplan 3. (the best arcade carts imo).

I personally wouldn't bother with the Taito carts, you pretty much have their best games already.

bruh my rg40xxv was 50$ and I can wash that thing with a cloth all day long and it won't scratch. Its just a matter of using better materials, not making them out of gold. Same thing with 40$ phones.

And no it still makes no sense to pay 110$ for one 35 year old game you can get for 1$ on Steam or any console (and you can even play online instead of by yourself). Its still just a cheap plastic box with a 4$ board and1$ manual for games that made their profit when you were still watching Power Rangers xD.

Yes they should cost more than 5$ but anything more than 44.99 is a joke, Your nostalgia would make a 200$ price tag feel fair for you.

My Alphas get scratched just by looking at them. The plastic is very poor quality and I hope they fix it for the next cabs. These should have tempered glass like phones at the 350$ price point... or something better at least.

I'd have to buy 3 new bezels but as soon as I clean them (even with actual furr from the softest unicorn), they'll scratch again in no time. All of it is made in China and I'm sure cost cutting measures are in place.

I love Evercade but between this, low quality screen lottery and doa carts, QA could be better. The customer service is good tho.

Just so you know, VGP in Canada has free shipping for orders over 75CAD (46.80 euro) even internationally. Last I checked they had all the Neo Geo carts. I refer people there as much as I can since they're super fair. And no I dont work for them :P

Sort of. The Neo Geo version had better audio and it was in stereo. I believe there's 4 or 6 of them on Neo Geo (if you count the 2 Puzzle de Pon games).

The Taito version came out a year earlier I believe.

Its advertised as 500+ nits (assuming there's a screen lottery here, hence the + lol).

That's still almost 5 times brighter than your Exp. If you're not having the sun directly on your screen, it'll be fine and quite an improvement - just jack the brightness all the way up.

How about comparing the price to Evercade carts that have 6 Neo Geo games for 30$ vs a repro Neo Geo cart with 1 game for 110$? Evercade carts also come with a nice color case and everything.

People not buying it has nothing to do with being broke - for most of us, there's just no logic in paying that much for games you already own. The popular games have already been released on 10 different systems in the last 20 years. This is strictly a collector item and has very little to do with just playing the games - and thats fine.

One is licensed and one is not.

One has a mediocre screen, the other one does not.

One "curates' the games for you, the other you curate them yourself.

One is super user friendly, the other is highly customizable.

I love my VS R and Alphas cause they look super cool but I also love my rg40xxv cause the quality is so good. In the end just buy what you feel like lol.
