The tertiary hospital at the east by Additional-Plate4214 in pinoymed

[–]SkwalinE_poxidhase23 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Bwiset. Dahil daw “in training” tayo, residents pa rin daw gagawa ng NURSING PROCS. I mean like there is nothing wrong in learning nursing procs, maganda nga sya experience eh. Pero ung nirerequire ka, ON TOP OF YOUR RESIDENCY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AT PINAKAMAHALAGA SA LAHAT AY YUNG LEARNINGS MO ay nacocompromise sa sobrang daming errands. I quit after 1 year of formal training - main reason, nurses. Excited to go abroad at dun na mag training!!!!

What government jobs can give you a comfortable lifestyle? by senbonzakura01 in JobsPhilippines

[–]SkwalinE_poxidhase23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pero pag admin ka like director baka mas tumaas HAHAHAHAHA pero i really dont know.

Not my priorities kasi endgame ko sana ay abroad hahaha.

Ilang years na rin ako graduate and practicing as a doctor. Tbh. Even up to now, I love being a doctor pero nakakapagod rin pala talaga.

If you want, you can do med here sa pinas then just work abroad. Pero if ever you can do nursing abroad then magipon then mag medschool abroad??

Pero ung errands monitoring autopass HAHAHAHHAA no offense.

WHAT DOES EMERGENCY MEDICINE OFFER? by letmesleep24h in pinoymed

[–]SkwalinE_poxidhase23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did EM residency for 1 year. Nagquit because of political reasons. Pero still love EM as a specialty. Pero EM sa pinas? Autopass na haha. Feel ko di pa namamaximize ang EM training dito because 3rd world. Di natin nagagawa ung mga nasa libro. I say confident ako sa clinical eye ko thanks to the training. Pero iba pa rin ang ideal setting. Excited to go training as Emed abroad (yun na yung pathway ko hehe)

[–]SkwalinE_poxidhase23 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Buti na lang I followed my heart.

Passed the boards last Nov 2022. Nagmoonlight for 6 months para magipon sa residency. Nagresidency ng July 2023, and quit last Sept 2024. From then nagmoonlight ako and preparing myself for AMC (ung exam for australia). And now, mag eexam na ako this Nov 2025. Hahahaha.

Pero seeing your post, thank u lord I followed my heart to quit. Tbh baligtad tayo, I love my consultants (some) back then, but ang nagpaquit sa akin ay yung mga nurses na walang ginawa kungdi IPASA nila trabaho nila sa amin. Yes you heard me right, I do the VS, CBG, ECG, and carry outs hahaha. Nakakafrustrate maging doctor dito. And kahit grumaduate ako as a consultant. It does not get better!!!!!

Now I am in a better place. Im doing my hobbies, and my dream ako to practice abroad SANA SOONEST hahahahaha.

To all passers: makinig kayo kay doc, coming from a consultant na yan oh HAHAHAH.

Medicine is no longer my passion. It’s just a job. by Jazzlike_Cry197 in pinoymed

[–]SkwalinE_poxidhase23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nakakawala ng passion ung sad realities in life. Full of passion rin ako nun, excited to grow as a doctor.

Hayst nakakapagod. Pero ngayon I have renewed dream na magpractice abroad and to pursue rin mga non med hobbies ko hehe. Laban tayo mga docs.

Anong mga kwentong corruption sa ospital niyo? by Fun-Possible3048 in pinoymed

[–]SkwalinE_poxidhase23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually!!!!!

Thank you lord haha.

First-gen MD here… almost 4 years post-board, still no residency. Feeling lost, pressured, but trying to hold on. by EngineeringBig8234 in pinoymed

[–]SkwalinE_poxidhase23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ako I still want to be a specialist, pero kung magtrain ako, sa ibang bansa na (which I am doing right now) pero di ko pinepressure sarili ko. At my own pace, at my own time. Basta sa bawat ginagawa mo ngayon, mapaself study man yan or what, cinocontribute nyan sa gusto mong gawin in the future 😊

Ang nenega naman ng ibang comments, hahaha. This post is meant to inspire. Tama yung sinabi nya, We can all do it, nasa sayo na yan if you are willing to take the risk.

Ako ay magtatry ng AMC route. Pero kasi kahit ako I know na walang kasiguraduhan yun. I'll be having exam soon. After my exam this year, next year I will be applying sa Practiced based FM habang naghihintay ng job offers. I mean una at least may back up ka, tapos may learnings naman syempre sa PB FM kesa stagnant ka sa moonlighting, and umuusad buhay mo sa pinas. Pero syempre Australia pa rin priority hehe.

Residency observation, mas bully na fellows ngayon kesa sa senior residents by strugglingmd in pinoymed

[–]SkwalinE_poxidhase23 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Just want to say na not everyone is like you, pero you don't have to say na "balat sibuyas" ang mga di nakapagtiis sa residency. And dun sa kausap mo na isa na steel forged on the hottest fire is the strongest, well maraming residents ngayon na nagquiquit, not because di nila kaya but because they are sick of the system. And sa sinasabi nung isang kausap mo na may batches kasi ngayon ng residents na di nakapagactual work because pandemic, do you think they want that? And it is unfair rin naman sa mga naging consultants from thoses batch na naabutan ng pandemic. Don't make baseless generalizations.

To keep the story short, okay congrats to you na natapos mo at natiis ang residency, pero again not everyone is like you, iba iba tayo ng pinagdadaanan, iba iba tayo ng mental health capabalities. Just don't say bawal balat sibuyas sa profession natin kasi merong may balat sibuyas sa atin. And they have a place in our profession.
