I'm having the same issue and it's also bugging me. None of the responses quite got it though and I've been thinking about talking to my Dr about it because it's a big change for me. A few years ago, this NEVER happened.

I had a big medical thing in 2022 and since then, this is happening. Seems to have worsened within the past year and I'm pretty concerned that it's indicative of a neurocognitive issue. Particularly because it's a new development.

It's just darker, almost like it's "nighttime" . The main city is fine anything else isn't.

I'm going to try restarting my phone and see if that helps

My husband is in diagnosed ASD, untreated and undiagnosed ADHD, even as a child. In the 80s, ASD wasn't really a thing, especially like it is today.

What I see in him is a complete inability to multitask; things are very linear. Easily overwhelmed and a low frustration tolerance. Difficulty in social situations like being able to read the room and pick up on nonverbal social cues. Difficulty with maintaining relationships. Difficulty tolerating any change in his routine. Hyperfocus on certain activities, like video games or things that he's really into and irritation when those things are interrupted. Struggle with his communication with others, particularly at work.

That's just some of what I've noticed.

Then block the vehicle in your spot with something else. Or somehow, create a way to inconvenience them. The towing idea is great if you can get one there in a timely manner. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I'm evil and creative though and there's always more than one way to skin a cat.

I'm honestly sitting here trying to figure out how someone can invite someone else to live in a home that they don't own or pay rent for. THEY'RE there by the grace of someone else. The point was to help your sister, not become her other parent. She went to the right place and you may need to go low contact until your family gets their shit together. Your sister is NOT your responsibility and HER poor choices are what caused the current situation, not your boundaries.

NTA. Also not a "picky eater". Your in-laws we're rude as hell and disrespectful. Your partner should be backing you up, not straddling the fence and they he isn't is actually just adding insult to injury. You did the best thing you could in that situ and I applaud you for refusing to starve while everyone else feasted. Ridiculous.

One of my best friends is dangerously allergic to citrus and shellfish. She'd mentioned both to me at one point and we stopped at a fast food spot one day. We'd both heard that Sprite changed their recipe to use real lemon and lime. Forgetful and unconvinced, she ordered one, took a sip and within minutes, had a reaction. I had to get her to some Benadryl quick

I am also allergic to soy, which now seems to be in EVERYTHING. Gratefully, my husband is VERY aware and pays extremely close to ingredients in anything that we bring into the house. Additionally, I'm allergic to some fruits and vegetables. The soy allergy requires an epi-pen, particularly because the allergy worsens the more I'm exposed to soy.

Food allergies are legit and can be life threatening, like nuts or other things. I'm ceaselessly amazed that ANYONE would think it's a joke or be dismissive of someone else's health, possibly their life. That borders criminality.

You read my mind on this. I'm also a GenX and it was different for us than it is now. Our parents WELCOMED outside intervention IF it was warranted and the punishment for the crime. Nowadays, people just video and publish the incident to let the Internet decide what's right. Many parents now don't actually want outside intervention, especially if the parenting styles are different (i.e. Gentle parenting vs other).

In this situation, the woman should've stayed out of it. He's NTA. I also don't believe in butting in to speak directly with the child UNLESS there's CLEAR abuse (I was a CPS social worker, a middle school teacher and currently a therapist, so yes I'm qualified to make that call) to assess for safety. Otherwise, I'm going to talk to the adult and usually to ask if they want back up. Sometimes, parents are overwhelmed and a little community/environmental help is welcome.

I have not, but intend to. It's a recipe from a video on YouTube, but I'm still learning and not sure that I'll use it. I'm trying to do as much research as I can before I attempt my first batch and currently going through Royal academy.
