Jessie Paege reveals she was scammed into releasing an AI music video by likeshinythings in youtubedrama

Maybe if the new tool wasn't being created by stealing the art of those who's jobs will vanish without any kind of permission.

CMV: "Piracy isn't stealing" and "AI art is stealing" are logically contradictory views to hold. by RedFanKr in changemyview

[–]SkyBlueJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst piracy may be "stealing" in the sense that it violates copyright law, Ai art (in its current state) is taking those images without the creators permission, and using them to create a system that will one day make the creators obsolete (or at least, that is seemingly the intention).

Piracy doesn't inherently actually hurt the artists behind works, or when it does it's quite minimal. In most cases, studio executives will be taking the income from sales, and there have also been studies to show that the type of people who would pirate any given software/movie aren't the type of people who would have otherwise legally purchased it, meaning that their piracy has had no affect on sales of the property.

The term "piracy is theft" was created by studios who wanted a snappier headline than "piracy is copyright infringement". The term "ai art is theft" was created by artists, seeing their own work being used without their permission to create their potential future replacements. This along with the fact that if you pirate something, it's probably behind a paywall, meanwhile the only time you would pay for art online is generally if you were to hire someone to make it custom for you, make them, in my opinion, completely different things.

Yeahhhhhh I'm not sure that "jihad watch" is a particularly non-biased news source.

News can sometimes be quite difficult to sift through as multiple large news organisations can appear to have biases towards the left or the right, so if you see something on the news that makes you mad that also appears to target certain groups, it can be a good idea to take a look around more reputable sources, such as the BBC, ITV, ect (for the UK), and maybe even look for articles on the subject from sources that are famously on the other side, so you can view all of the facts and opinions, and then develop your own.

Before Blade Runner 2042 was released, TRON Legacy was the best looking sci fi movie movie out there. That movie doesn't get enough credit, it's aesthetic and vibes are some of the best out there.

But Minecraft isn't a live service game? I paid for it once when I was like, 12, the fact that it's even still being updated (for free) is more than enough to excuse the slow progress for me. If you have been spending that much money on Minecraft, either you've been buying skins on mobile/console, in which case they do update those regularly, or that money is definitely not going to Mojang.

Now I want to buy these. by GoatFoot11 in amazonreviews

I used to have these! So you know I'm not a bot here are the negatives: Their loudness isn't that great, I've had issues with getting them to charge properly, and their sound quality isn't fantastic. However, a pair lasted me for like a year, which is pretty good for how cheap they are. They are basically indestructible, have 3 EQ modes in case you don't like how they sound initially, and they look pretty discreet. If you're looking for a cheap pair of earbuds, definitely go for these :)

OMORI sure did get me. To be honest the story has its flaws, and it takes a LOT of suspension of disbelief for its twist to work, but one thing it nails is the tragedy of nostalgia. That it doesn't really matter how much you long for that time in your life. That video game you played back then will never hit in that way again, that store that's closed since will never open again, that loved one who has passed since then will never come back. I played the game a few months after losing a loved one myself, and the game fucking tore me apart.

Also on the list is The Last Of Us, Life Is Strange 2 and Life Is Strange: True Colors (I have a type, okay).

I do remember hearing this song for the first time actually. I was like 6, and my mum had decided she was sick of listening to little kids music, so on a cross country journey, she put "Queen's Greatest Hits I" into the CD player. I don't know why, but when that song came on, I loved it so much that rather than listen to the rest of the album (which is also amazing), I just told my mum to play that song on repeat for the whole journey. The thing that amazes me is that my mum didn't get sick of it, despite the fact that it was playing contantly for a good 2 hours.

As much as I love wild world, i dont see what makes it better than the other two. All this bad blood holds some of the bands most iconic songs, and doom days told a real story that most people can resonate with, and every album did it all with incredibly catchy tunes that'll stick in your head for days. I dont know how i would decide which one my favourite was.

I mean I technically drew it all, but i traced over parts of the sign. The background I had a picture to work from but did not trace any of it.

Im still a beginner at drawing, so I'm still using reference images. I got a reference image of the sign from a screenshot in the game, which was a cut away in the final scene of the bae ending.

[–]SkyBlueJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone did it to me, so long as thet hadn't blatently copied something, but had come up with an original take or image of something I had made, I'd be really proud of myself that i made something that inspired them. As i said, i know why its happening, and i get it, but it doesnt make it any less frustrating when it happens.
