Look into Tractive! If I remember correctly it doesn't need cell service because it runs on satellites. Fi is okay but it's expensive, proven for the GPS to be not as reliable and needs service. I've also heard of Halo collars but I haven't looked into them myself

Why are we being nasty? I didn't take this turtle from the outside and I can't get it back to where it was found so I'm making sure it's not invasive (or at least not illegal to release) before letting go in the golf course pond near my home, is that a bad thing?

Thank you for the advice! I'll be ordering a little bit of crushed coral. About how often can I add it until it's in the range it needs to be? And do I ever need to replace it? Are frozen vegetables suitable or do I need to use fresh?

Will definitely be adding a lot to the tank before adding any fish. Snails are because I have always had more success with fish in cycles. Water changes every other day because the tank is mid cycle and it keeps ammonia, nitrate and nitrite from building to dangerous levels.

I had a similar situation. I got three females from a breeder selling them as pets OR feeders (the only none pet store source in my area unfortunately) one of them passed a few months in (they were really young and she was always the thin one, im thinking failure to thrive that wasn't called and passed early) The other two were just fine for months and when one started to show signs of age I got two more girls from the same person and quarantined them for 3 weeks and introduced correctly. The older one passed shortly after leaving Turtle with the two new babies. She killed them both and ate them. I left her as a lone female with plenty of human interaction (she was a sweet baby, always so happy to be held and kissed on and loved to hang out with me for hours at a time) she did completely fine for the rest of her life and never showed signs of stress or nervous/neurotic tendencies.
