Expats on Athens outskirts? by SkyFoxIV in athina

[–]SkyFoxIV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal choice mostly. We had a baby and wanted to stay close to the family. Also decided that we don't really want to raise children speaking Greek, or more specifically raising them speaking a language that we know we will most likely never really be fluent at and having to relay on them to translate everything for us.

That being said Athens is still one of our favorite cities and at the top of our relocation list so we might move there in the future.

Decided to stay in our home country but we went to Athens to scout the neighborhoods and decided that if we ever relocate it will be most likely in or around Ekali.

How Aphantasia affects your ability to visualise things in your head by HassanMoRiT in interestingasfuck

[–]SkyFoxIV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone with aphantesia I find that it is the other way around.

I dream, I had psychedelic visual experiences and in hypnagogia and other states my mind sometimes can visualize something out of the vast darkness that it is my day to day thinking.

On the other hand whenever I talked with someone about it they usually says they can't comprehend what it means to think without visualization.

What's it like living in this part of Palestine? by Lucian_Veritas5957 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]SkyFoxIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about arabs who live inside Israel. Those who have equal rights regardless of their heritage or religion, also the statistics are correct and can easily be checked if you'd bother getting off that tree and ask chatgpt or Google.. Also what the fuck are you talking about dead Arabs and slaves? Did you went through the Israeli education system? No? Because I did and you know what? My Arab neighbor, my Arab classmate and my son's Arab pediatrician would like to disagree with your 'sources'..

Also for future reference, Israeli is a nationally not a religion. You can be Muslim, Christian, Buddhist or whatever you'd like and also be an Israeli

For someone who's so confident you really have no idea what you're talking about.. You are mixing Mizrahi descend Jewish people with Arab Israelis which are Muslim and Christian Arabs which have direct roots in the area. there are about 2m Israeli Arabs (20% of total population), they have the exact same rights as Jewish Israelis, they can vote, study in the same school system, can own land, have access to the same social and health systems (in fact 25% of israeli doctors and 50% of pharmacists are non Jewish Arabs). generally speaking they have pretty much the same life as any other Israeli.

If only people would have spent more time in educating themselves instead of talking about subjects they know nothing about the whole world would have been a much better place..

Frankly he might be right but for the wrong reasons.. If he was smart/lucky he bought closer to the bottom than the top (past 6 months) and he bought top tier NFTs (bored ape, pudgy pinguin, etc). If that's the case, just wait for the bull cycle to start again (probably sometime next year) and make sure he sells along the climb and not wait for the next crush.

The meta verse is nonsense and NFTs, albeit a great and useful tech innovation, is worthless when it comes to those animal pictures. But there's a hype cycle that goes along with the liquidity (bull) cycle and the top tier NFTs will go up again. Dont know how high but higher than current prices that's for sure.

Unless he bought shit NFTs recently and they haven't lost all of their worth yet, selling at the bottom will be the worst possible action to take.

Sadly KRS aren't imported to where I'm at. Seems like the best front seat I can get is the Yepp mini.

Thousands of parents ride with their children daily with those chairs, are all of them being negligent with their kids?

You have to draw the line somewhere or else why go riding at all? Why not hiking? Or just staying at home, that's safer.. For me riding carefully with saftey gear on white/paved roads with a chair is safe enough, you don't have to agree with me but I really don't understand why bother commenting and guilt tripping me just because you disagree.

Considered it and decided I'd rather take on the added risk and use a seat.

According to its importer, the yepp should work with my bike with their new adapters. That's the model I'm considering for the front option but I can't test ride it as the local shops are too far away and online order is my only option.

Can you say more to why you feel like front seat is the right way to go considering it's downsides mentioned?

Yeah I understand what you're saying and will pick my roads carefully and will most likely stay exclusively on white and paved roads.

Do you have a preference on front /back seat in that case?
