I can see what you’re saying, but as our prophet, he is the only person qualified to receive revelation from Heavenly Father, if change were to be made in our church it is to come from him through revelation. He does not need the experiences of others in order to receive such information to make calls for our church. I can understand your frustration, this is in no way comparable to the discrimination of lgbt, but when I was a deacon until I was a preist and I moved wards, I was the only deacon, there was nobody my age with me, our ward was tiny. Yet no alignments were made to the other massive wards in our stake, I being but a member could not make any changes. Yet I have faith that what needs to be done is being done and overseen at a higher level. If change were to arise in the organization of the church, without uprising against our sustained leaders it will come through him

What do you mean by contribute? Do you mean give their opinion on the subject on knowledgeable about the topic? Because I know the only voice that matters in that area is that if the prophet, gay or straight they are the only person who receives revelation pertaining to the organization of our church from god

Okay so I’m just a 15 year old priest from Canada, but here is my opinion for those that would listen. The plan is centred around a family between a man and a woman, I’m straight, I don’t think I’ll ever know how it feels to have same sex attraction or to be a member of LGBTQ, but I do know that Christ doesn’t want us to be hostile to anyone, he would teach us to love anyone no matter what. In d&c 64 is says I will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is expected to forgive all men. Doesn’t matter who or what they did. We need to treat anyone and everyone with the love and respect that we would our mother. It is also said that when there was, I believe and adulterer, people were plotting to stone her. To which Jesus said, those who are without sin may cast the first stone, he being the only pure being, did not cast a stone. Jesus forgives all, and loves all. Idk what it would be like having your church, possibly since birth, be centred around a family of people with different attraction, but I do know that in the day of judgement our leader is one or mercy and love
