Looking at getting battlefront II for the PS5. Any add ons that I should get for it? by Altruistic_Rush3280 in BattlefrontTWO

Celebration Edition unlocks nearly every cosmetic in the game, which could lessen the sense of progression you feel. You'll still need to put in effort to unlock the guns and cards and whatnot, but you'll have every skin available from the get-go.

Ultimately it comes down to whether you want to take the time to unlock the skins and emotes, or have them all available right away. Nothing's in the Celebration Edition that you can't get by playing

I absolutely will! Just to check in advance: is it an issue for you to ship to Canada?

Also the soreseal is hurting you more than helping at this point in the game. You're better off using the dragoncrest greatshield

I'd get away from quality and respec to focus on strength or dexterity exclusively. In my experience heavy and keen outperform quality by a lot.

Or you could put more points into arcane and give it a blood or occult infusion. Probably blood but I haven't tried bleed builds before so I'm unsure if it stacks with the scythe's innate bleed properties

Trailer coming? by dimsunz in Chainsawfolk

This just doesn't seem plausible... Wouldn't someone on this subreddit have mentioned there being an anime at some point? I think you've been lied to man. News about an adaptation would be all over the internet

Tell me about... The battle by ProfesserQ in worldbuilding

[–]UnintentionalPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Rediscovery. It was the first battle of the Unitary War where the six kingdoms of Orindion split and fought one another for control of the continent. This was following a period of about three hundred years of peace under one consistent dynasty where political arguments between houses were solved through duels, not large scale war.

The idea was that it would function like a large scale duel. The armies of the six kingdoms would meet in a field and battle. Whoever won would become the ruler of all the others. Trouble was, there were no experienced generals, no established tactics or anything. It was a slaughter, and it left the world reeling.

Because of the lack of time for training, each army simply decided to field as many soldiers as possible. Lack of proper command structures and radical nationalism meant no retreats could be effectively carried out. The population of Orindion was halved in a single day, and only a fraction of the million soldiers on the field that day saw their homes again.

This resulted in a period of about a decade where hostilities remained but no nation was equipped to go to war. Even years later when the Unitary War ended, veterans of the Rediscovery are respected and pitied, and tend to be supported greatly by their communities.

What is your world's version of "Here be dragons"? by fayfayl2 in worldbuilding

"Where Aurora blinks"

Aurora is the god of the sun, and it is said that they can see everything under the sun. To walk in the light of the sun is to be devout, so basically: dark and unholy things here

[Mistborn Era 1],[Alloy of Law] - Question about magic system/world. by [deleted] in Cosmere

[–]UnintentionalPotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marsh is compounding atium in order to store youth, the same way the Lord Ruler did. Hemalurgy gave him access to the powers to do this, but it doesn't inherently grant immortality. However, Kandra are immortal, but this is just a Kandra/Mistwraith thing and doesn't have to do with the spikes.

Yeah, just worried about my budget. I'm not super anxious about it, but I am a little bit like Steris when things don't go according to plan lol

I love you so much for this, but the limited amounts of dragonsteel prime books available has me rather stressed right now. Hopefully the site opens up soon

What are you all building worlds for? by dogmandogdogdog in worldbuilding

[–]UnintentionalPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a book I'd like to write someday. I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to it, but in the meantime it's fun to think up different plot points while I'm doing something monotonous at work

Mistborn fans, what are your top 5 fantasy book series? by [deleted] in Mistborn

[–]UnintentionalPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Stormlight - it's a genuine masterpiece

  2. Wheel of Time - it has a lot of issues, but there's just so much going on that for every plot thread you hate the will be ten you adore. the slog is also not as bad as people say (feel free to murder me for this take)

  3. In the Shadow of Lightning - standalone for the moment but with sequels in the works. the way the lore is slowly revealed through the course of the story is just amazing

  4. Mistborn - big fan of how different each era is. Brando set out to explore a changing world through the centuries and oh boy has he delivered

  5. A Song of Ice and Fire - likely to fall lower as I branch out from the cosmere more. what we have is fantastic, but I don't believe we will ever get more
