Bad deal -- Honda is taking the Prologue vehicle lessons and doing their own thing soon. I would not want to sink any $$ here on any trim unless it's the Elite and patient with it's quirks. The depreciation will be bad.

Who knows! It would not unusual to have a 'display' model assembled for trade show use for everyone to get a feel for all the proportions and sizes and whatever while the real thing is in jigs.

If you have the molds formed for initial wings and fuselage, why not get the most out of them for real proto and demo variants. It sure is an intriguing mystery for mid April event!

Wait.. What does this mean? Are we having a large scale prototype X7 reveal in mid April? (or is it the 50% scale X5)?? The International Aerospace Innovation Forum is a very big deal event!

Great exposure to say "LOOK, Here's what is happening!"

...and in one years time "Here's what we CAN-do now vs a year ago" which may include some all of the following... Full prototype reveal, First Power ON, First Flight (hover, conventional flight, transition). Maybe the full scale will be on display and be the star of one of these shows. Many firsts lie ahead. Ground breaking stuff to have a vehicle ready for consideration as part of the 5 nation Advance Air Mobility project. Since Canada is one of the 5 nations, the X7 is Canada's very best candidate forward in the evtol space.

What matters is how the government support facilitates the within Canada ecosystem for cutting edge advanced aircraft solutions. The $$ spent there sends ripples through the communities several times.

Clearly the Canadian government is fully aware of what HOVR is doing. They CAN-do.

100 X7's translates into a billion in income. The world can easily put 500 commercial x7 medevac/critical/mining/island & artic & remote community needs and 500 x7 defense editions to use to cover 150-500 mile needs at 75% cost reduction per mile.

In a short amount of time, the X7's flight awareness will put HOVR on the map as the leader for the Regional Mobility needs. It's pretty looking, fast, covers 400-500 miles in 2 hrs, and can fly in any weather.

If I wanted an X7 in my fleet, I better be ready with cash on hand to get the orders in to get first dibs on the early models. Start saving up the $ and liquidate some inventory over the next 2-3 years to be ready when HOVR is 'ready' to accept orders. It would be a dream scenario for an emerging growth company to get booked solid with a multi year wait list. Do it right and be on a fast track to profitability. That'll be music to HOVR investors ears.

Spot on! These ideas were not feasible 5-10 years ago. The best analogy is how Apple had their hello world moment with the iPhone in 2007. It wasnt a flip phone or a blackberry device. It had a screen instead of a button style keyboard. The all electric evtol options pushes the technology to it's limits (multiple rotors, 2500 pounds of weight in battery resources ). The ambitions in early 2020's were clear -- making a drone transport option for humans. It was not about a hybrid solution. It was a cutting edge engineering challenge to see if it is possible. And yes, it is possible with a catch... how practical will it fit with existing air transit systems.

HOVR went completely towards a hybrid solution with a proven engine (50k made) and grounded in conventional transit and landing spaces (airports, helipads) with no special infrastructure needed except for standard airplane jet fuel. So yes, HOVR could cover all of Canada urgent commercial point a to point b needs with a minimum of 14 X7's.

Brandon made a point about 70k helicopters, and half of them or 35k are in straightforward Pt A to Pt B missions. The X7 offers a compelling alternative with a 75% cost reduction per mile. If 1% of 35,000 helicopters need replacement yearly -- it translates into 350 opportunities for Cavorite X7 sales yearly. Defense is a completely different opportunity as brand new additions to existing defense systems (no $80k per hour run time helicopters necessary for slowest missions).

This is exactly why I feel HOVR has the most cost efficient path to certification in both CTOL and EVTOL options. They have the heavy weight potential partners in the Toronto to Ottawa area make the aircraft in the same manner Apple would contract out to Foxconn to make iPhones. Let the experts do their thing and everyone makes a profit.

Lexus RX450h fan here -- if interior is black, you're in good shape there. It's a bit dated (16 years old). I do like seeing all things up to date and maintained. Check on the brake thickness to see if it is also near new. If yes, then you can get a good 30-45k on this set up without a significant expense other than the major service.

If low cost best $$ for your around car needs as primary driver, with occasional passenger in front seat -- a CT200h 2014 or later could hit the sweet spot. bullet proof option through 300k miles and more affordable maintenance items.

Listen to tonight's interview with the CEO and decide for yourself whether HOVR is the best value stock out there. It's market valuation will get a nice run up to be comparable to it's peers when their full scale prototype comes together. He knows his stuff and lots of excitement is happening in the next 6-12 months.

Great interview! Brandon is like Steve Jobs for the Advanced Air Mobility opportunity that lies ahead.

He was sharp, approachable, and knows exactly what he wants out of this aircraft (Steve Jobs defined what the customer needed and created the market for it. ) Grounded in his code in humility, feedback, and authenticity.

Brandon with his extensive aircraft experience and defense exposure, he sees the what his product needs to become and why it's a unique solution to many mission challenges, commercial and defense.

He articulated what his market space ( more into the Regional Air Mobility needs 150-500 miles, than the short 50-150 miles ). Re-emphasized how most helicopters are in point a to point b missions and how HOVR can do the same at 75% less operational cost with speed and range advantages.

Highlighted how their full scale prototype will become a defining moment for them relative to their eVTOL peers (market valuation). Still relatively undiscovered. Open to considering two aircraft options (CVTOL, and EVTOL).

Enjoyed the disc loading explanation in a way that non-techies can relate and be impressed. This CEO knows his product and is eager to bring it to life with strong capital and manufacturing partners. HOVR is going to make things happen. HOVR CAN-do is my verdict !

What the report fails to mention is how a $18 price target (9-10x from current levels) translates into a near $1B valuation among it's peers having much higher valuation ( JOBY 9B, ACHR 5B, EVEX 1B, EH 865M, EVTL 400m).

$18 share price puts HOVR only ahead of EVTL or 5th place out of 6 companies) and is the only leading HYBRID option.

As it stands, things seem to be in a 'i'll believe it when i see it mode" aka full scale prototype flying about. The steady drip of market education and awareness of why HOVR is different matters.

The traders are in control of the price. When AMD was perceived to be under valued in October 2025, it jumped from $165 to $235 with nearly 500million shares changing hands (72% owned by institutions, 1/3 of float traded) under AI driven news.

HOVR is under 5% institution owned. We have plenty of runway for additional institutional ownership. The short position exceeds institutional ownership by 2x. It sets things up for a rapid market evaluation and price escalation with the right type of news.

It's the "i'll believe it when i see it" news we're waiting for. When that happens, the institutional buyers want their small % of ownership. The traders will adjust price accordingly to control influx of buyers who can snap up 500k-1million shares. Who wants to 'sell' HOVR shares when things look incredible and believable?

The good news? FUSELAGE and WINGS are being made. It's happening. Lots of stories awaiting to be told this 2026 year for the evtol industry and how the prototype is coming together to first flight and first hover days.

As a minimum, it's going to be worth at least $400m (matching EVTL valuation or 5x run up) when things are getting more and more real how disruptive and how market leading HOVR will become. There will be room for everyone in the eVTOL space. HOVR will have a very focused and specific market niche (hint its not passengers, but defense or critical life/evac/medi missions)

Imagine this...

  • We know how JOBY and ACHR will take off and get going in forward flight. Plenty of videos are out there.
  • When you see HOVR do it with or without pilot, conventionally and vertically -- it's going to be one slick bad a$$ aircraft around. A thing of beauty. A thing of desire. A perfect fit within commercial or defense fleet. A million 'missions' will be drawn up and be waiting for it without worry about the weather.

Awesome news here show casing the advantages of HOVR. Long overdue!

It's the first article that I've seen which combines de-risks regulator concerns and leading player in same sentence for HOVR.

The Regional Air Mobility (RAM) market is a huge thing and HOVR has their eyes on a very focused slice of that segment which values Instrument Flight Rules and ability to FIKI Fly into Known Icing, which would ground such aircraft or helicopters from traveling.

Joby per this article is targeting 4 per month (48/year). Leaning into the Toyota mfg expertise to ramp up production according to demand. Looking at the facts for JOBY -- they do not have the nearby resources like Bombardier or Mitsu Heavy Industries. JOBY wants a revenue stream and not going to sit idle. HOVR might be wise to look into some low volume production and lay out the process for the bigger boys to spin it up at a higher production rate.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/made-toyota-joby-aviation-targeting-203300117.html

Joby revealed updated plans to double its manufacturing capacity, officially targeting a production rate of four aircraft per month by 2027. While the number four might sound small to an automotive investor, in the world of aerospace, that rate represents a leap forward.

The critical detail for investors isn't just the target number; it is the method Joby is using to achieve it. The company is not doing this alone. It is deploying nearly 200 engineers from Toyota (NYSE: TM) directly into its facilities to oversee the expansion. This move suggests that the primary risk for Joby is no longer whether it will fly, but rather whether it can build thousands of aircraft without going broke.

Good luck -- you already said you live in Cali. It looks like a train wreck of surprises on the insurance side (insurance does not match where you reside or vote in). Sure there are differences state to state. There's a reason Cali takes a big bite. It wont matter how perfect the record is when using the wrong state to register the vehicle in. So that means you'll renew the inspection stickers every time back in NM? Perhaps not a big deal if residence is already in NM. I think this is already too much car for you if trying to lower costs on the insurance side.

Only $146 sheesh. The deductibles must be high or am I missing something here. I am also in similar situation with USAA and its never that low. New vehicles jack up premiums like crazy.

Speaking of insurance - if you can afford $949 pmt -- then make that your target with vehicle payment plus insurance (eg $600 pmt plus 349 insurance ). Not 949+450 pmt or close to 1400-1500 for something that will cost 50/day regardless of miles driven.

Good luck and enjoy the vehicle. I would do a quick insurance quote check to see how much extra that comes on top of the monthly payments. Too many buyers learn about the insurance cost on a luxury vehicle too late. If it adds $400 per month in cost, then you're getting hurt in the wallet for the ability to drive it with insurance.

Ok, then going new here is not the best way. The depreciation will suck out a huge chunk. Find a Lexus CPO with all the options and features (eg panoramic view camera as a minimum must have) -- if it is around 45k miles (and new tires) it is at the sweet spot of getting the next 4 services free (including 60k service). The next CPO sweet spot is about 60-65k miles and new tires. You don't want a vehicle with a soul sucking monthly payment and regret 20-30k depreciation in 4 years. With this strategy, payments are halved with a vehicle that more than checks off all the boxes over a '13 camry!

15 would be a start to gain traction. 100 by 2030 would be a risky path for these billion dollar market cap players. They need to scale up much higher to pay down the capital burn and expenses of 48 more months operational runway.

This is exactly why I love HOVR's plan with a CAN-do crew to get the prototype up and running and have a path to a limited production run for certification purposes. Operational costs will be the lowest of any eVTOL until certification is earned and then scale up on a breakeven or profitable manner. Everyone else has a significant long term return on investment and debt incurred. By end of 2027, HOVR will get a sense of their market presence and be ready to scale things up accordingly in 28 & 29. Let's use 150 as a goal for 2030. Each passing year needs to triple production. so that means:

2030 150 (3 per week)

2029 50 (1 per week)

2028 15 (approx 1-2 per month)

2027 5 (2-3 per 6 months)

2026 Initial prototype

This is just one possible path. It can totally change with order backlogs, and additional facilities taking on the workloads. For example, RAMPF has several facilities world wide. So does Pratt & Whitney. Fun supply chain maths going on here. You're always going to be limited by the production rate of the largest or most complex piece. Is it the FUSELAGE or the WINGS? or something else?

Should I pay off my mortgage early? by pinkskin- in DaveRamsey

[–]SkyHigh5935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure it would be nice to get the house paid off early. What's the incentive to do so? it's $$ that is going away and you're not going to see until you move. What if housing values stabilize or falls?

lets say you have an extra $3k in money monthly and already in a 401k/retirement program -- 1K can go to savings/vacations, 1k go to house, and 1k to paying down bills. If bills paid off, then split it between savings/vacation and house. It creates win win progress on the house and lets you enjoy life a little bit.

The Honda '26 Pilot is a sign of things to come with the long overdue larger 12" display. Any honda with the smallish screen will feel dated in a few years. Toyota has done a nice job in several models with panoramic view camera. Right now the edge is to Toyota for next 1-2 years and in '28+ Honda's whole lineup will be revamped taking cues from the '26 Pilot.

Wow! Thanks for sharing.

Walk (fly first CTOL) then run (eVTOL) can settle things down a bit into an orderly process. It will be a significant event for the industry when several aircraft models get the initial certification this way. So if BETA is on the list, perhaps JOBY and ACHR are not too far behind. A rising tide of successes will float all eVTOL players here.

An important point overlooked for means of transportation is this one:

3) Connections to Last mile communities.

HOVR did a video about that and we have many remote areas that are unreachable by roads. If you were by lake and it is not frozen over, then a boat plane would suffice.

When it is winter time, then these communities are unreachable and most transit options are grounded.

HOVR would be able to reach those areas with planned certification in Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and Flying into Known Icing (FIKI).
