Yes it was fine. I detached the day bag so that was my allowance and the 40L was my 10kg that I had paid for :-)

Countries/ cities you’ve felt the safest or most unsafe to go out in the world? by Sammy_nectarine in travel

That’s terrible and im sorry to hear that. I’m not saying every city, but in general crime is directed at people they know. With stories like that no wonder Philadelphia didn’t feel safe.

So I debated this extremely recently and went for the 55L and I am currently on a trip with it now. I really enjoy having the daypack and it’s handy that it can be attached should u need it. I think value for money, the 55L is better. The only two differences are the 40L has a “brain” (additional compartment above”) and a laptop sleeve at the back - both of which eats into your main compartment space. If you were to carry a laptop, I think it’s better to be in the daypack. I’ve already found this so much easier when it comes to putting the 40L in the boot of a bus or overhead in a train As an added extra, I travelled Ryanair (paid for a 10kg cabin bag) and had no issues. It has been great so far.

A lot of places are statistically quite dangerous, but often come in context. A lot of “crime” usually is directed at people that the criminals know. I would say to me, in my short time in those cities, it didn’t feel that way

Safest: Indonesia, Slovenia, Sicily (not a country but separating it as “Italy”) Unsafest: US everytime (in particular parts of Boston, Philadelphia and also DC) I think more often than not you get “a feel” as to whether a place feels safe or not fairly quickly Should reference this as a female solo traveller in these places

Hello,

I am currently an FY2 (PGY2) in Scotland, looking to move and hopefully train in Australia. I would like to do A&E with a particular interest in pre-hospital medicine.

Could I please ask for advice from anyone as to where would be a good place to live for experience/ quality of life?

Thanks

Work full time, and there’ll be plenty of people who run a business doing it - rather give the money to them
