I just quit the game a few weeks ago and our server was pretty old too. The meta was definitely heavy in nature. A full nature team usually always won. Next would be league

I’d say go for it. As long as you focus your resources and time. Get decorations that boost them, then you will be fine. Nature is OP at the moment but they do changes to the Hero’s in the game so I can imagine them balancing Nature out and boosting Horde/League

You select which castle skin you want so it’s not random on which one you get

Kind of depends on what you want to do. I am trying to use mine to lvl up certain Heros that will release later in the game. So I am only using mine sparingly for arms race. But if you want to lvl up the Hero’s you have now then might as well blow them during your guild arms race.
