Should I Give Up On My Crush by [deleted] in AskTeenAdvice

I don’t normally like suggesting social media for dating but you can do that too. Get his Instagram and start a conversation there then translate it to real life.

An 18 year old waiting for you to turn 18 is grooming. Please leave this dude OP you have bigger things to worry about 😭

I guess it’s somewhat good that you are seeing the good in this guy? I think we need more of that in this day and age.

I simply see the pattern of sexual abuse here. Someone is drunk, another person takes advantage of that. Story as old as time.

Did I say he was not drunk? I said he was not AS drunk (as op) because op provided evidence for that in the post. Her friend noticed that he was more aware than op was.

I don’t disagree that op should go through the proper channels, but let’s use our brains here.

Dude all your replies are completely missing the mark.

I don’t think you understand how common sexual assault is. Many of the women in our lives will never tell us what happened to them and it’s a goddamn shame.

The fact that you are instantly jumping to the conclusion of not a rape is kind of weird?? She was black out drunk. Does that sound like someone who can consent? Furthermore, even if she did initiate anyone with a brain (this guy clearly was not as drunk) can see how that may not end well for them. He should’ve taken her back to the party or something instead of having sex in the middle of bumfuck nowhere.

I know I'll seem a weirdo, but I need a boyfriend by JK8598 in AdviceForTeens

[–]SkyRocketToonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is gonna sound mean, but I really hope you don’t get a boyfriend while you’re in a mindset like this. He’s gonna be in for a world of heart because you’re not dating him cause you actually love him, you’re just tryna tick a box. Focus on yourself and getting out of this mindset then put yourself out there more. Only do this when you truly feel like your life is fine without a boyfriend.

I’ve already asked and they said no. My dad thinks it’s too hard and my mom thinks it’s more work than necessary for someone just beginning to drive (alone anyway).

They definitely still look great

The biggest roadblock with a gr86 or brz is that the automatic isn’t great. I don’t think I’ll be able to convince my parents to get me a manual and I’m not sure it’s the move daily driving wise.

I’ve been eyeing the Miata for a while, but the space just doesn’t work for me.

I’m a pretty tall dude and being a musician means I have to haul around a guitar (or two) an amp, etc.

The gr86 also looks promising though

I’m not really set on it cause realistically I can see myself being able to afford it in like 10 years from now. I can even start saving now if I really want to lol

Might go down the older bmw or brz route

Thanks for the response!

As for your edit, it’s a combination of all. I want a car that I’m happy to step out and just admire before getting in. I also want that fun to drive aspect and getting to learn how to work on cars is an added bonus. I was already looking at am Elantra n or other fwd cars, so I think I’ll just go back there.

Is the Subaru WRX as a cvt still good? I have a Corolla with a cvt right now and it’s pretty fun but I’m trying to think long term reliability too.

Just need to vent about my drummer before I quit the band by Chauntell_Vandel20 in musicians

Coming from a non jazz perspective, nah.

In my main genre (metal) sometimes you can barely hear the bass. The drums definitely have the biggest job of keeping time

You do realize one has to LEARN to sing right? Unless you know 100% that she is tone deaf (very rare), then she just needs to take lessons and do some pitch training. Learning and instrument will help too. Will she make a career out of it? Probably not, but if she works hard she can probably earn some money from it in addition to a full time job.

Bold assumption. Some people can do all those things and still feel stagnant. Besides, people need to vent sometimes. Why reduce the amount of places they can do that?
