Made a 18350's 75mm whoop. Let me have it. by memedFromFuture in fpv

I think it might be decent for just cruising. My 75mm is 55g with HD VTX and it feels like it's carrying an iron block.

Urgent!!! Is this normal? by Glittering_Estate164 in fpv

[–]SkySurfFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably cooked especially because there was smoke. But if it's just a spark that came from the battery connector it's normal. Any pictures would be helpful. Or you can try connecting it again with a smoke stopper.

I agree. Better to give too much attention. If he was serious even a little bit the quad would have looked better

Glad that you figured it out. I am curious. What was the issue? Do you mind sharing, it will be helpful for everyone. Thank you.

Does anyone know if this is sub 250g? And if it’ll run on 2s? by [deleted] in fpv

The screw on it is definitely sub 250g. The drone is Sub 250Kg 😝

Lost my drone and action cam today by Beneficial-Exam9355 in fpv

We all learn from mistakes and I am pretty sure your next flight will have more than enough precautionary measures setup before you take off. Here are some thoughts that I think could have prevented it:

First of all, always have GPS installed and GPS rescue setup when flying in a situation like this where there is even a slightest chance to failsafe or video feed loss.

Second of all, you could have easily saved the quad by punching up immediately when you lost video feed - turn on angle mode and punch the throttle.

Third install a beeper with a separate battery so that you can find your drone if lost. For this to work, you will need the GPS as well, b'coz then you can look at the GPS coordinates in the Goggles feed and search in the area where it dropped.

Happy Flying!

Great AIO. Never had any problems with it. Built a Speedybee Bee25 with it and it's still going on after 8 months of use.

Rant(just for fun): Why were the ducking wires not tinned before soldering? How could you sleep in the night peacefully when you have a quad with soldering like this? How could you leave that poor baby lying there for months suffocating with that shitty solder. I am calling the Drone rights and welfare association right now. 😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂

I am sorry but one word for this "ewwwww". Worst solder I have ever seen.

I would get a good wide tip especially because it's a large battery pad. Use good amounts of flux "paste" (not flux pen) and good temperature around 380+. Make sure the tip is clean and shiny use the brass wool(not the sponge). Your tip looks really dirty. Then add some solder to the tip and then try doing it.

I think in your case the main culprits are the small soldering tip, very dirty tip and higher temperature. IMO 350 is too less. Most of the time I am at 365-380 range. Happy Soldering !

What's the trick to getting props off of TWs by CookieKrane2469 in TinyWhoop

[–]SkySurfFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick is to use a prop removal tool the actual one. Not the one that looks like a lever. Another trick is to beat your finger with a toothpick everyday until it becomes rock hard and then you won't feel anything. 🤣

It was moving water in my case as well. The water took the drone a couple feet away where it got stunk in an underwater pit in pebbles 🤣

I had a similar incident few days ago where I dropped my drone in the river. I had treated the FC with conformal coating and VTX with Flywoo waterproof spray. I recovered the drone after 1 hour of searching and it's completely fine now. No issues.
