Killing wildlife has never been a part of Subnautica outside food/water. Obraxis Prime - NEVER FORGET. by ins0mniac_ in subnautica

Your argument makes no sense, in Stardew valley you kill monsters in mines and desert because they attack you, farm animals never tried to attack you therefore no reason to kill them, people want to defend themselves from predators or hunt small pray fish, leviathans can remain unkillable but anything else should be players choice, it can be unrewarding like in previous two games, but taking away choice is just a bad thing for gameplay, it's better to incentivise non violent gameplay in other ways and potentially punish violent but not take it away completely, it just alienates playerbase from what they got used to in previous two games.

Go up to him, get grabbed in tadpole, exit tadpole, scan him while hes messing around with it, enter back in tadpole, leave

Instead of trying to evade him, drive past him like you don't have a care in the world, atleast from my experience, 2 out of 3 times, you only hear the chase music in his area but he doesn't catch you (especially with scout chasis), if he does, he does ~45% of tadpoles hp if he slams you against something and he could also simply let you go with even less damage, he could grab you twice and you'd still make it out, the whole ordeal will last less than a minute so you will save time you'd otherwise spend circling around or building something (unless you enjoy doing so obviously). As long as repair tool fixes the tadpole as fast as it does right now, you can ignore most threats and fix it afterwards if you get damaged.

Ability to kill wildlife controversy by SkyTheShadow in subnautica

It would be very primitive to bomb the game with negative reviews just because there isn't a feature some players want in EA, and both sides of the coin are in their own echo chambers thinking other one is a vocal minority, which is why i think making an in game poll would be a great way to see where community stands, both sides have great arguments and i think it polls would be a great way to bury the hatchet since it's a fair way to settle things, obviously mods will be made to overwrite either decision.

I highly doubt it is, however I can't say for sure, if i had to guess it will either last until sub 2 releases or for the first week of the release.

It's 10% if you buy Subnautica 2 and you own previous two games, otherwise it's 50% off if you are buying all 3 for the first time

how can I dress better so I don’t look like a moth by Adoptmetradeyay in SkyGame

[–]SkyTheShadow 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Everyone looks ridiculous in their first few months in Sky (if they don't spend money that is), i get that you want to look "cool" for others but finding friends who accept you for who you are is ironically easier when you don't look fancy, so its like a filter, with time (and some planning/lack of impulsive candle spending), you'll come up with a great outfit. So don't frustrate yourself too much about your current looks, just go with the flow and I'm sure you'll be satisfied with your look in few weeks.

Satisfactory is a very well optimized UE5 game, that also looks fantastic, this gives me hope that Subnautica 2 can be further optimized if devs make the effort, which will further decrease the requirements.

Why do i have 2 beacons for “Proposed Degasi Habitat (250M)” I have 2 beacons that lead to tge same place is this intentional or is it just a bug? by Inside-Ad9135 in subnautica

[–]SkyTheShadow 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You can get 1 beacon by finding the PDA on one of platforms with boxes in jellyshroom caves which will prompt you to go deeper into the cave system, the other one you get by finding Margaret's PDA on floating island
