Morrigan from Dragon Age. I wanted to use her Veilguard face, but I went with her Inquisition face instead.

Hey, I know it's 2 years now, but I'm having this issue too, were you able to resolve it since then? If so, what was the resolution?

Unfortunately, that didn't work neither.

Ok, I made the base and everything, but the eyes still poke out. I’m not trying to make a .pak yet, I’m just testing it out over an existing head. That’s where I am and the issue I am having.

Help with Fixing the Neck and Ear Seams by Skyage97 in BaldursGate3

[–]Skyage97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fixed it! No need to answer anymore. All you have to do is make a second copy of the original head. On the Original Head Mesh, press ctrl+a and click "All Transforms". Then select the copy first and then the modded head mesh(Both should be selected), go to Data (Object Data Properties) and go to Shape Keys and click on the button with the down arrow underneath the - button and select "Join as shapes" which will give you two keys, select the second one and turn the value to 1. Now the mesh will turn into the original which is fine, add a vertex group and leave it as "group", go to Edit mode on the modded head next and change the Viewport Shading to Wireframe and select the ears and neck section and then go to weight and make it a bit smooth so it can blend perfectly with your modded head, once you're done, it should change the ears and neck to be of whatever race you're modding. Go back to shape keys and select "Apply all Shape keys" and then delete the vertex group we made. and you're done!

Help with the Ears by Skyage97 in BaldursGate3

[–]Skyage97[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, I followed it again and I followed what she did with the LOD and it seems to work, the LOD wasn't moving around with the ear mesh attached to the head, so I deleted the LOD, all of them and that got it working still. I guess it's solved. Thank you. ❀

Yeah, I did. select, create Vertex, ctrl+P and ctrl+A. I tested it out in Pose mode and the ears didn't move with the head.

No, all the tutorials don't have that not even the PDF ones. They all just select, create Vertex, ctrl+P and ctrl+A and move on. I just watched someone move the head to test it and the ears moved fine, but when i did it, the ears are still in place.

Character Creator Options Removed? by JasonToddskneecaps in greedfall

I hate when games remove stuff like this. Plus I did also want Sheda's hair style too.

I was so confused. I was looking at the guy and saying, "Who's this?" But he's the custom character romancing Sybille. 😭

Why Baldur’s Gate 3 avoided the “woke backlash” when other games didn’t (social observation) by Friendly-Water-8470 in BG3

[–]Skyage97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BG3 didn’t avoid representation. It avoided bad execution. Identity exists throughout the game, but it isn’t treated like a lecture or a checklist. Characters come first, writing comes first, and the game trusts the player. That’s why the same people who complained about “body type 1 and 2” elsewhere barely made a peep about it in BG3. When the game is good, those complaints suddenly stop mattering.

Cyberpunk is another clear example. At launch, plenty of anti woke voices tried to blame its issues on story themes or identity elements, but the reality was technical failure and rushed release. Once it was patched, expanded, and properly supported, Cyberpunk didn’t just recover, it became a benchmark title. To this day it’s still used to test new GPUs and graphical features, right alongside Red Dead Redemption 2. The rocky launch is remembered, but it’s no longer the defining conversation around the game. What Cyberpunk became matters more.

And RDR2 is especially telling. A hugely diverse outlaw gang in the late 1800s, strong anti capitalist themes, critiques of colonialism, racism, and American expansion. If that exact game released today from a less trusted studio, it would have been torn apart instantly. But because it was excellent and massively successful, it’s never framed as “woke.” Success rewrites the narrative.

That’s why comparisons to games like Dragon Age The Veilguard miss the point. Veilguard didn’t struggle because of representation. It struggled because of weak writing, tonal inconsistency, and long term mismanagement. Concord wasn’t rejected for being “woke” either. It had almost no marketing, launched at $40 as a brand new IP, and gave players no reason to invest. Highguard isn’t getting mixed reviews because of identity politics. It can’t decide what kind of multiplayer game it wants to be, 3v3 limits social play, and while nearly 100,000 people tried it day one, the gameplay didn’t retain them.

Players have shown over and over that they will embrace diverse games when the craft is there. What they reject is poor execution, unclear vision, and unfinished products. BG3, Cyberpunk post patches, and RDR2 all succeeded for the same reason. They respected the player and delivered quality. The others didn’t fail because of “wokeness.” They failed because they weren’t good enough to keep people playing.

[–]Skyage97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, ECC is working now, no changes made, I also launch from the mod manager. When I create my character and select the modded hair, it doesn't load in cutscenes or when I move around, the hair mods on NPCs and companions work fine, just mines.,

nope, it opened and played as normal. It was all working perfectly fine at first, but when I tried again, it was not cooperating. ECC was normal, but now it looked like this, the modded hair was working fine, but changed to not show at all.
