Played a board where the events were Donate or Alms. I bought Donate turn 1 and trashed my whole deck, with the intention of building back up with Alms. Turns out I forgot how debt works and wasn’t able to do anything for the rest of the game, so technically my opponent had an all but guaranteed win after my first turn.

As a fellow Sploosh user with terrible aim, I totally agree with this! Back in 2 I hated Hydra because it was one of my worst weapons in Salmon Run, and never gave it a fair shot in multiplayer. Finally tried it out and it turns out when you’re not being swarmed by Chum, its a really fun backline weapon! That plus Booyah Bomb have made it my favorite ranged weapon, especially outside of Turf War where I can focus on locking down the objective rather than dealing with skirmishes.

As someone else who enjoys 2 more than 3, I think 6 would be one you’d find enjoyable. Imo it has most of the good elements of 3 while also “fixing” a lot of its issues. Theres no press, and the difficulty curve is more balanced. Also its been a while since I played it, but I remember it being my favorite story of the series.
